Good work completed on budget. Norm completed all the construction work for a large project as described in the agreement and on budget with the estimate. The project included complete siding removal and replacement; replacement windows; a small addition; tieing the addition and an existing sunroom into the house and ventilation system; and wood flooring. A permit was required and the inspections passed on the first reviews.

The few major issues encountered were discussed and fixed or completed as requested. Any changes were discussed in advance.

There were a few delays, but having general knowledge of most construction work requirements through repairing/mantaining a number of rentals, none were outside of general construction delays with subs and work was completed in a reasonable time (around 3 months start to finish). Site was cleaned during and upon completion of the project but could have been cleaned a bit more frequently during the contruction inside.

Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I would recommend Norm and Reisal for any project needing a general contractor for multiple, overlapping home repair or construction work.

First off mlb0903 and mayree70 are a poor attempt by the company to improve their ratings as they are all posted on the same day, and only after my evaluation, since last "good" review was OVER A YEAR AGO. However, here is my response and challenge:

I know more than enough about construction than an average joe, the only reasons why i hired this "professional" was so the job would get done quickly (promised and signed off on 6 weeks, BUT IT TOOK 7 MONTHS), i would not have to do it all myself, and the bank loan required a licensed/insured contractor. This was a whole house renovation of $50k+. I CHALLENGE any skeptics of my previous review to come see the job he has done for yourselves, in person, with your own eyes if you think i am making this up. i'll be glad to spend my time at no charge to you to show you all the poor quality work and damages he has caused to my property, what to watch out for and be prepared for when dealing with these people IF you decide to hire them as THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!. i also have hundreds of pictures of hap hast, snail-paced progress i would be glad to show you and am in a process of creating a website for everyone to see them.

Love the work that has been done!. We used Norm and his company to do a complete remodel. We took our 1st floor down the nothing, but studs. I cannot believe this is the same house. It looks great and everything went so smoothly. all of the subcontractors were great and someone was always checking on the work being done at the house. I receive so many compliments on how great the house looks. I have recommended Norm to my friends and would recommend him to anyone.

It's all good!. Based on my personal experience with Norm, I have nothing but positive things to say. He was quick, professional and thorough. I would not hesitate at all to recommend his company to anyone in the market for this type of service. Also would not hesitate to call on him for future work.

THE CONTRACTOR FROM HELL. Not only did not live up to the contract, damaged my home and refused to fix it but is trying to sue me to get paid for the poorest quality work anyone has ever seen! STAY AWAY!!! First of, he only showed up to the property to collect the draws from the construction loan. DID NOT SUPERVISE NOR PAY HIS SUBCONTRACTORS!!! He spent more time vacationing on my dime than George W.! The project that was supposed to take 6 weeks, took 7 MONTHS! Every aspect of the project has been a nightmare and all work has been done completely wrong and not in the proper order. House painted without removing old paint/repair/primer - now is peeling (3 months after completion), the brand new doors and energy-star windows had huge gaps between the walls and frames (frames were not repaired, as per contract), HVAC is poorly completed and not working properly (originally was to be 2-zone system, yet only one thermostat installed and no dampers), interior work is not level and plumb, hard wood floors were completely demolished/never covered. None of the walls/trim were properly prepared and primed before paint, all bathroom/kitchen hardware has been scratched up during remodel, the entire front yard looked like an off-road course for four-wheelers, the deck on the side of the house is coming apart, the garage door had to be replaced twice because he failed to be there to measure it and supervise the installation! He did not issue an invoice/warranty/lien releases, and expects to get paid over twice of what is owed. Do not trust him, do not hire him, do not even let him on your property as once he is there you will not get rid of him and you will be threatened and intimidated with liens and lawsuits. He has not social skills, will not listen to what you want done, just let the people loose and expect money.
