Shockingly Fabulous.
This was my first time to a Sonic and I have to say it was the best fast food experience I've ever had. They were friendly and extremely fast getting me my order. And as I sat there eating my Cheese Burger I over heard another customer in the stall next to me talk to a carhop, I had No Idea you are supposed to tip! I thought this was fast food like McDonalds? I felt so horrible that I was a customer and didnt even tip. I called back in and asked the carhop who delivered my food to come back and gave her a generous tip and appologized explaining I didnt know. She was so Nice to me regardless of the fact that I had not tipped her.
I will deffinatly go back!

Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
