WHITE IS NOT RIGHT AT THIS PLACE. PRETTY WHITE GIRLS NEED NOT APPLY:

I WENT IN YESTERDAY MORNING TO GET APPLICATION AND WAS ENCOURAGED TO COME BACK AT 5 PM TO SPEAK TO WHITNEY, MANAGER. I CAME BACK AND WALKED INTO THE MOST HATING ENVIRONMENT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN JOB HUNTING (AND I LIVED IN SOUTH ATLANTA)

RIGHT OFF THE BAT I GOT HATEFUL STARES FROM BLACK WAITRESSES. ONE FAT ONE SAT LOOKING CONTEMPTUOUSLY ACROSS THE ROOM STUFFING FRIES IN (LOOKED HORRIBLE FOR BUSINESS). ANOTHER WITH A LONG SCAR ON NECK KEPT WALKING BY LOOKING ME UP AND DOWN. A MANAGER WITH LAPTOP SITTING NEXT TO FRY QUEEN REFUSED TO SMILE BACK AT ME DURING MY ATTEMPTS, INSTEAD GIVING ME A HARD STARE. THE HALFWAY DECENT MGR WHO TOLD ME TO COME BACK WAS OBVIOUSLY OUTNUMBERED AND IGNORED ME, EVEN AFTER WAVING AT HIM UNTIL I APPROACHED HIM WITH APP IN FRONT OF WAITRESSES. EMBARRASSED, HE SAID WHITNEY WAS NOT THERE YET. AFTER WAITING BETTER PART OF HOUR, WHITNEY DID SHOW, BUT WAS WALKING AROUND SETTING UP FOR 15 MIN WITHOUT MY KNOWING WHO HE WAS BC NO ONE WOULD TOLD HIM THAT THE GIRL SITTING RIGHT UP FRONT OF HIM WAS WAITING FOR HIM. I SAW CUSTOMERS RECEIVE ORDERS AND COMPLAIN, ONLY FOR WAITRESS TO SHRUG OFF. WHEN WHITNEY SAT DOWN, I OUTLINED MY QUALIFICATIONS (OVERLY QUALIFIED WITH DIRECT EXPERIENCE FOR COOK OR WAITRESS) AND HE GIVES ME 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXCUSES WHY I WOULDN'T WORK, INCLUDING HE HIRED 3 COOKS RECENTLY AND IT WOULD BE WEEKS TO HEAR ANYTHING. BY NOW, I UNDERSTOOD THE WHOLE VIBE OF THE PLACE, SO POLITELY I LEFT. IF YOU ARE WHITE, FEMALE AND FAT, SKINNY, UGLY AND CAN MAKE THEIR BLACK GIRLS LOOK BETTER, THAN YOU WILL PROBABLY GET LESS TIPS THAN THEM, YOU MAY HAVE A CHANCE. IF YOU ARE WHITE AND HAVE MONEY TO SPEND THERE, YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE AS A CUSTOMER. BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME, QUALIFIED AND LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITY AND HALF WAY PRETTY AND NICE SHAPE, THEY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL SO UNWELCOME AND OUT OF PLACE THAT YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU WASTED YOUR TIME AND GAS TO COME THERE TO SEEK A JOB. I HAVE NO DOUBT I WILL BE HIRED THIS WEEK SOMEWHERE, I TURNED JOB OFFERS DOWN WEEKS AGO WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE CHILDCARE. I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A PLACE CLOSE BY TO WORK AT. IF YOU ARE WHITE AND LOOKING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY AT A PLACE THAT WILL REINVEST INTO COMMUNITY IN THE WAY OF OPPORTUNITY TO HELP THIS TROUBLED ECONOMY, DON'T DO IT HERE. -AUTHORED BY COLOR BLIND WIFE OF BLACK MAN WITH 2 KIDS TRYING TO DO HER PART FOR FAMILY AFTER HUSBAND'S LAYOFF.

Good happy hour joint!. I met my date there for lunch and the service was very slow. The staff gave us eye contact but didn't greet us until our server made her way to our table.

After our food arrived we didn't see the server until we notified her to produce our bill. No water refills, didn't want confirmation of our dining experience. I just felt like this staff was OUT TO LUNCH mentally. When we departed they just looked and didn't say a word, no good-byes or thank you!

The food was sooo good a 5 in my book, but the service brought my overall rating for this place down to a 3.

It's a good hang out for groups and sporting events in the evening. Mabye even happy hour but not for lunch or dinner with a date.

Nice Spot For Food and Sports. I've been looking for a nice local spot to watch sporting events (mainly football), have a beer or two, and some good eats. This is a great place for that. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and it is never too crowded. I like to feel comfortable when i'm out. I'm not really big on wings; however, they have some of the best i've had in atl. If you are a smyrna/vinings local like me, you should definitely check this spot out. Oh yeah....forgot to mention the (chicken philly) is the BOMB.....

best buffalo wings. Best place to get buffalo wings and shrimp. I love the entertainment on the weekends. Whenever I am in Atlanta I eat there. the owners are very friendly and always out in the open. I love it.

Great Wings, Great Music. JR Crickets is a great addition to the Smyrna area. The food and service are great! The friendly staff will reel you in and have you returning weekly. Great music and loads of televisions only help make your dining experience here WONDERFUL!

Great food, Service and Atmosphere. I am real big on great service and cleaniness. I am even bigger on just good food. I'm a southern girl and come from a long line of great chefs! Chicken is my favorite....100 ways: whether fried, baked, in a casserole, smothered, etc. JR Crickets has it all. They are well rounded in service, food, atmosphere and spirits! Their casadias are very tasty! If you are looking for a hot spot to get your eats on and a cool place to relax, laugh and have fun with your friends when sharing good eats....JR Crickets is the place. Go ahead...try it. You just might see me there on your visit!

Nice Sports Bar with Karoke. This is a very nice sports bar!!! Very clean, urban style with great food and service -- you can even enjoy good laughs with Karaoke after a little liquid courage!!

Girl just wants to have FUN. This is one of my favorites spots....not only is it clean and conveniently located. It also has a Great Weekend Night Life. If you are looking for some R&R this is the place to come. You can Wing it or try some other delicious cuisine. The seafood is especially tasty!

Fun and Fast!. Great WIngs. Excellent customer service. Very clean. Friendly. Fast. Fun. Prefer to other J.R. Crockets in metro area.
