Can't get a seat despite plenty of empty booths? – When trying to have lunch at Alpine Bakery, I was told I could not be seated because my party was incomplete(my husband had not arrived). There were PLENTY of empty booths. I asked to speak with the manager, as this was the 2nd time this had happened to me there. The manager looked up from the table he was sitting at, and told the hostess I would have to wait. Soon thereafter I was seated (my husband arrived). We requested a 2nd time to speak with the manager, to inquire about their seating policy. He never addressed us while there for an hour plus.., walked by several times. When I asked why he didn't come by, the hostess said, "I am not sure, it just didn't work out.". What kind of service is this? RUDE - ARROGANT - FOR GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE, MAKE THE TRIP TO CANTON STREET - ROSWELL
Rude? Arrogant? You decide. – I've been in twice and the place is oddly rude and arrogant. The woman who I assume is part of ownership has a kind of "just give me your money attitude." The food is okay--its simple Italian and the veal dishes were--again--okay. On a take out order, I was irritated to find a 7 dollar salad in a styrafoam bowl about half the size of a cup. It's a pretty place with the rows of pastries but they are very overpriced and not very fresh. Staff seemed offended whhen I asked if a couple of things were baked that day--it's a reasonable question in a bakery with a large stock like this. I'm sure they are pleased with the press of business they are getting but if they don't stop acting like they're too busy for their customers their early success will go away in a hurry. It's convenient so I'll give it another cance but there are other choices--with better food--a couple of miles farther away.
So bad – This bakery is terrible. The baked goods have no taste. I'm from NY, and I wouldn't want anyone to have their first black and white experince at this place. That is not what a black and white is suppossed to be. They look so hard they must be a week old. And the prices are ridiculous. Even in NY you would never pay $4 for that tiny linzer tart. This place is terrible, i've never had the pizza so I can't say anything about that. But the cookies and cakes, over priced and nothing special. I'm guessing they couldn't make it in Ny, so they came down here and opened that place thinking no one would know the difference.
Amazing!! Can't say enough good things! – I LOVE Alpine Bakery! I really can't say enough wonderful things about the place. I haven't been to the new restaurant yet, though I've heard it's awesome. But I can say that the bakery and pizzeria are ON POINT. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The food is amazing. I mean, the strawberry swiss roll....WOW. And again, the pizza is awesome!! If you haven't been here yet...you are seriously missing out. I think that calling it the "best bakery in town" is a huge understatement - it is by far one of the best bakeries I've been to anywhere! (and I've lived in France...so I've been to a lot of bakeries!) :)
Bakery in Town! – Every time I make a trip to Alpine Bakery it always puts a smile on my face! The staff is so nice and pleasant and the pizzas are made from scratch everyday! I am yet to find a bakery that compares! I am truly impressed and will continue to be a faithful customer!
Best Pizza and cakes in town!!! – All around great bakery! I remember the first time stepping into the bakery and being overwhelmed at the size of there cakes! This bakery is in the business of being the best and they truly I am yet to try a cake that I did not love. The Pizza side of the house is also very impressive as well! They make everything from scratch and you can tell in the very first bite that it is the best pizza in town. If you want to know what a real New York Style Pizza tastes like then you need to stop by Alpine and find out!!!
Editorial Review – Outstanding pizza and pastries have Italian expats thinking of home at this popular Alpharetta bakery.
Absolutely the BEST – The atmosphere, baked goods, pizza and evrything at the Alpine Bakery are the best. The staff are very nice and they make everyone feel welcome. You will love it.
