In Short – While plenty of OTP residents make nightly trips to the city to dine out, it is rare to find a spot that draws an ITP crowd out to the burbs. But this family-run, hole-in-the-wall is beginning to reverse the trend, as in-towners caravan to their two locations in Lawrenceville. Expect Ricardo Ullio-style appetizers like arancini (think hushpuppies stuffed with risotto) to add some authenticity to the usual Italian neighborhood menu. The pizza is our city's closest thing to what you get in NY, with that magical combination of gooey cheese, a crispy crust and in appropriate form…

Brilliant

Fini's is consistently the best pizza (and strombolis, calzones, subs, etc.) in town by far. I and my co-workers have been eating at Fini's for several years now, and it is by far the best pizza available in the area. The Peachtree location gets very crowded during both lunch and dinner hours, so get there early during the week. The L'ville Suwannee food is just as good, but it doesn't have the same ambiance. It's also larger, so it's very easy to get into. The staff is always personable - not necessarily fast - if you are in a super hurry and don't care about quality, this may not be the place...If you are in for a relaxing meal and superb food, definitely check these restaurants out.

Simply AWESOME !!!

I consider myself a pretty objective person and I have to say that my waistline reflects my taste buds...

I have eaten at both locations and the pizza is by far the best I have ever had... They make is just sloppy enough to drip down your chin and just crispy enough to have a flavorful crunch each bite. How they have accomplished both effects puzzles me. I have also had a few other items on the menu and the Cal zones are fantabulous. The ingredients are the best of the best no matter what your liking is. I personally LOVE the homemade meatballs.

As for service.. I have never had a bad experience at either location. I have to say that I favor the service at the Peachtree location simply because it seems a little more personable. It may be due to the fact that it is a little smaller and no matter where you sit, you are in the eyesight of the staff. Michelle, the manager there, is always going out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and like what you have on your plate. This lets me know that she really cares about the opinion of the patrons.

On occasion, it has been a little crowded at the Peachtree location and it causes a short wait. I chalk this up to people willing to wait for awesome food, a cozy atmosphere and awesome service.

I will forever be a loyal customer and advocate of this restaurant. I encourage anyone who is looking for a good slice of real New York Pizza to give it a try. I assure you that you will never go anywhere else and you will find yourself often craving Fini's to dribble down your chin... :O)

Worst experience ever

We were pretty excited when the 2nd location opened by our house. The whole family went. Overall the food was pretty good, but we ordered the fried cheese to eat before our pizza. They came out with our pizza, which was not ideal, but we aren't huge complainers. The problem is that they were frozen. My wife, mother, and friend all took one. One was cooked through and the others were definately still frozen. We asked them to take them back and remove them from the bill. We ate our food, which was fairly good. The issue came about with the bill. The server informed us that they couldn't take it off because 2 or the 5 pieces were eaten. We complained, asked for a manager to dispute our case. The owners wife came out the kitchen. She was out of control. Yelling, screaming, and insulting my family by calling us crooks. She eventually stormed into the kitchen. The owner came out, not to see what happened or clean up the mess his wife made but to insult us further by saying we verbally attacked his wife. This all happened on a full friday night dinner. The whole dining room was in shock. We paid the bill, tipped the server/servers (because they were so disorganized) and walked out. The staff also made distasteful remarks as we walked out the door. Don't support a resturant that is willing to insult you over 6 bucks. It's okay though they lost a lifetime of business over fried cheese. Real solid. It's a bloody shame too because my wife loved the pizza, but out of principle we will never return.

  • Pros: Food, expansive menu
  • Cons: Being attacked by the owners, uncooked food, 60 dollars for heartburn.
