“but overpriced and terrible service.”
“The hostess was very friendly but our waitress was absolutely rude and mind numbingly slow.”
Horrible service. I had a reservation made for me for my birthday and we got seated right away, but only to sit there for 30+ minutes with no one to come serve us at all. All the workers would just look at us and walk away. The hostess, especially, knew we were disgruntled but she just give us a dirty look and walked away. The busboy felt bad for us and eventually came to try to help, but he shouldn't have had to...he even said I'm just the busboy but I saw you sitting there and not getting any service. At this point I'm already super peeved so we left to go to Divan. These people don't care about their customers at all...they should be ashamed of all the comments about bad service they get and should consider getting some new staff.
There are better places. I called several days in advance to make a reservation and let them know how many people would be in the party. However, when we arrived, they could not find our reservation and treated us as if we were making it up. Then they decided to seat us, but they sat 8 of us in a crammed section of the restaurant without any apologies. The server was very cold and behaved as though she was doing us a favor by even serving us at all. The first thing she did was ID everyone, assuming that we were all interested in either drinking/hookah. That, added to the fact that Ibiza has ridiculous rules about everyone having to spend $15 minimum and no separate checks, was enough for us. We walked out and went over to Taverna Plaka where we had a wonderful evening. Delicious food. Awesome service. Great spirits. Cute servers. Incredible experience. This, I would say is a better place to truly get a mediterranean experience. At Plaka, they actually care about you having a good experience and are not out ther just for your money.
the service sucks.
the waiters suck. we had over 10 people and we were in the VIP section.
there was a belly dance, but the VIP section couldn't see anything unless the dancer came in.
we waited for a long time to get the server to take our order.
we ordered wine and also water with lemon. but we never get lemon.
the food didn't arrive at the same time. 2-3 of us were eating. the rest of us were drinking wine or water. we were out of water. the server came and asked us whether everything was ok. i was like, we didn't have water, and we didn't have silverware. then we waited for another 10-15 min. the rest of us got our food. still, some of us don't have silverware which we've already asked for at least 3 times.
2 of us ordered lamb shank and 2 of us ordered baby lamb chops. When the baby lamb chops arrived, that server said that was lamb shank. i reconfirmed twice coz he had an accent. he still said those were the lamb shank. when the real lamb shanks arrived, the waiter was so rude and told me those obviously were not lamb shanks. but the other server told me those were lamb shanks..... he didn't apologize. he was very rude and just told me i was wrong. he put down the food and didn't even explain.
and we asked for silverware again. finally we got one for everyone.
the food was great.
they charged us 20% gratuity. if i had a choice, i would not pay that much tip. the service was terrible.
The best time!!. Wow I went a few weeks ago and had the best time ever. What an amazing experience and I can't wait to bring my friends to this venue. The best DJ and great entertainment I've been to in Atlanta. A must go!
We were surprised to the quality of the steak they served us. It was one of the best we had in Atlanta.
I would also recommend their pizza, a great taste that you always want another piece.
The hipest hot spot in Buckhead. I went to Ibiza with my girlfriend a few months ago and we enjoyed ourselves so much we had to bring our friends. About Two Saturdays ago 11/7/09 we had a group about 65 people come it was the most fun they have had in years. The food was awesome the dancer was fantastic and the service was superber we met the owner Mrs. Rita she was a very inserting women she came up with the idea for the fantastic place. We also met the manger who was also our waitress her name was Bouchra she was a wonderful waitress she made our experience an unforgettable one and made everything run smoothly despite how busy it was. When the DJ started we danced all night long. The Music ranged form everything like from Arabic Belly dance to reggaeton to Hip hop to Rap... We ended the night just right it was 2:00am 30mins before closing even thought we would have stayed there if it was open later. Let me just say all me my girlfriend and my friends are all about Ibiza and plan to go there again very soon with even more than people this time .
Unprofessional, rude, unreliable. Reconsider if you are looking to go to IBIZA for celebration. I had 15 people in my party, called a week in advance to reserve for table. When I showed up the hostess did not seat my guests, she just left people wandering around by themselves. Then we were crowded into a tiny table for 10, sandwiched between a table for 2 and columns. My friends had to squeeze in and sit facing a pole. When I confronted the waiter, she was adamant that she wrote down the reservation was made for 12 and had the take it or leave it attitude, unheard or unseen in the restaurant business during a recession. Then a second waiter commented that we start ordered, he then brought out the wrong drinks. Food was served abruptly and the waiters did not know who ordered what. My guests were confused by the lack of service provided by this restaurant, while cramming in like sardines. The live music and performance was overstated on their website, I would not consider 25 min of Belly Dance Live Entertainment for the night. Then came our $355 bill, which even though IBIZA was making a ton of money from us, they would not separate out the 40 line item bill into separate receipt, claiming they do not have the technology. Everyone, all 15 had to read through and analyze the receipt to find how much they need to pay. Then the waiter claimed that we were short on $69 though he had been taken money off our table, left by people who had to leave early. By the way, the complimentary desert promised by the manager never showed up. And we had to wait in the cold for 20 min for valet, that was after we chased him down. DO not go to this restaurant, unless you want third world country service with first world prices.
watch out for the bill. Me and my girl friend had dinner last night at Ibiza. Even though the place looks good, the food that we ordered wasn't that great. What surprised us was the fact that they added a 20% tip on the check. we didnt know that and we gave extra 10.00 in cash. After we came home, we called the restaurant and was told that " It is on the menu". And the lady had an attitude in her voice and wasnt sympatetic to the situation. I will never go back there but for any of you who will go there, be careful. Tip is already added and they dont tell you that. For a 40.00 dinner check, we left 17.00 tip unknowingly. Dont be cheated like we were.
Great Night Out.
Beautifully decorated restaurant perfect for a night out with friends or a date.
For a date I recommend getting the private booth. If you want to relax you can hang out in the patio and smoke some hookah.
If you want to have some good times with friends, go Friday or Saturday night when DJ plays all night.
We had reservations for a party of 8, and after sitting down waited for a full hour before a hooka was available. We were told that Ibiza's was out of hookas, even though the place was only about half full. Since we were at a HOOKA BAR for the hooka experience, this was very annoying. In the meantime we payed for a few overpriced drinks.
Eventually (20 minutes later) the drinks came, and, as noted, a FULL HOUR AFTER SITTING DOWN a hooka finally showed up. By that time most of the party was about ready to go, so we asked for the check.
During the entire 90 minutes we sat down, the waitress -- not a particularly personable server -- came by about three times. On the check was an auto-gratuity of 20%. For excellent service this would be acceptable, but this was sub par service to put it kindly.
Lots of money -- terrible service. Not worth it. At all.
