In Short Situated among the smattering of restaurants and bars in the Oakhurst neighborhood, Matador dishes out typical Americanized Mexican fare to neighbors out of their small dining digs. The pride of the menu (aside from their Citysearch award-winning margaritas) is their tacos. The carnita is interestingly stuffed with tomatillo marinade and cinnamon while the Texas nicely melds barbecue pork with pico de gallo. MADE ME DREADFULLY ILL

Had lunch with my wife and kids. Both my wife and I were extremely sick after this meal. Never in my life has ANY restaurant made me feel so horrible so fast. Something was wrong in Matador's kitchen today. I won't take a chance there again.

Tasty food and attractive drink specials

I have eaten at both the Decatur and Oakhurst locations for Matador several times. It is a great place to get a few friends together for dinner and drinks. The prices are very reasonable and there are usually a few unique drink specials to try each night.

Good place for drink and cheese dip

We've eaten here about 8 times b/c of its location -- a quick walk from our house. The meals are just average and twice they were not good. I would skip the entrees and enjoy cheese dip and chips on the patio with a drink.
