Editorial Review for Fever Nightclub – by Brian Suber

The Scene
Crowds of club-hoppers claw their way up the red carpet, past security and into this Euro-style club. Inside, marble floors, elegant woodwork and mod furnishings greet trendsetters decked out in their best club wear. With two levels of sumptuous space, the club features the first floor Viper Room and exclusive VIP lounge and the Aztec Room and Martini Room on top.

The Draw
From the musical minds that pump life into events at 1150 and Aiko, this club showcases some of the hottest DJs around, spinning late into the night. The crowds can be off-putting but the ambience, the festive theme nights and the tunes make up for the lack of elbow room at the bar or under the hypnotic dance lights. Cover charges can be steep and parking is a bear but crowds are flocking to this Midtown spot for high-quality dance music and a scorching scene.

Insider Tips

Save Money

Cover charges rise with the reputation of the DJs who are spinning on any given night, so get here early to avoid the crowds and save a few coins.

Look Good

Dress to impress or get overlooked at this trendy spot where the fashion police is on full patrol. Reservations are essential for the VIP Room, so call ahead or be left behind.

Parking

There aren't many spots at the club so drivers should park at one of the neighboring pay lots and walk over.

First let me say that I have very eclectic taste. I like lots of different clubs and environments. I like places like HOLE IN THE WALL, MJQ, to COSMOPOLITAN and LAVA LOUNGE.........This place is amazing. Its such a fun, talkative group of people. Great place to meet people. Lots of different moods and rooms. If upstairs is playing technoi or house, then downstairs is playing R&B and hip hop and vice vera. The drinks are a little bit expensive but not overly outrageous. Saturday nights are my favorite nights to go because its its loud, really packed, the energy is really high, and when you walk in the door you know you are going to have a great time. Also, if you want free entry till 11pm go to armadamagazine dot com and get on their free quest list. This place is dress to impress but as a girl it's fun to get really decked out and pretty and walk in somewhere and have heads turn. So so so fun. There is a mood room to fit everyone. Love it.

Pros: great guesstlist and VIP, music, mood, decore, people, drinks, free parking if you find somewhere else to park (their parking lot cuz they cost $10)

ok..so im not a picky person at all...so its very hard for me not to be satisfied w/ cust serv..anyway, my friend and I decided to go to fever on a Sat ..the music in the upper level was awful..the dj played mostly commercial hip hop tracks ..like 95.5 the beat music that your sick of hearing over and over again The lower level was better..it was a whole different atmosphere, different crowd and trans or techno..and believe me im not too much of a fan of that genre of music but it was better than the stuff playin upstairs.. anywho we took a break for some fresh air and went to the bar upstairs right next to the entrance..we ordered 2 grey goose w/ a splash of cranberry ,FROM THE BAR, paid and started to walk away..before leavin the bar i took a sip of my drink and tasted no grey goose..no lie, there was noooo liquor in the drink ..so i had my friend taste it and she agreed..(( she would tell me if it was just me)) but no, there was nooo vodka at all! so she politely tells the bartender who is a female to tasse the drink, maybe she forgot the goose, hey it can happen, and she just looked at her and tols us ' you didnt give me a tip , so why should i care' and she just walked away....i could not believe she said that, and i felt like throwin my drink at her.. we did leave her a tip but it wasnt enough for her to address our issue...soo why does she deserve a great tip again?? mind you WE WALKED TO THE BAR...if she had walked to us like cocktail waitresses do then her tip would have been greater...i was sooo upset i just left the drink and decided to leave..i have been to better places.. i dont mind payin more, and to my knowledge, the bar never charges gratuity!!!! never going back!!!!!

Pros: very nice!! well decorated, different rooms, different themes

Cons: service is horrible, drinks not great!!
