“Exquisite service, but a relaxed, casual atmosphere.”
“The dessert menu was laughably pretentious - too wordy, too busy.”
“We ended up paying for our drinks - the owner was very polite, but we left for Murphys and had a great Brunch there.”
“our waiter was friendly and helpful, and the extras (like the bread with roasted garlic and the chef's amuse) were nice touches.”
“There are some very creative elements with the menu.”
“Over all a great restaurant with mishaps that can happen at even the greatest restaurants because I can forgive small mistakes if the food is good and the waitstaff is courteous.”
“Waitstaff was good but overall I don't think I would go back.”
“All in all, the food was pretty good, but the horrible service destroyed the whole experience.”
“Why the public can be so forgiving and cling to sub-par restaurants while ignoring those with excellent cuisine and great prices (such as One Midtown Kitchen) is beyond me.”
“The servers and hostesses were nice and apologetic, but that doesn't really make up for a cheese plate that takes 25 minutes to show up and entrees that take an hour.”
The Management/Owner is Terrible. If you are looking for a spot for Brunch, please skip this one! The owner, whose name is Richard, was very unprofessional. He insisted that my friends and I leave due to other patrons, who had reservations, waiting. His exact quote was " I thought two hours was ample time to dine." My girlfriends and I did not finish our bottomless mimosas and were forced to leave. The food was decent, but We will never return. If you are looking for a great brunch spot, try highland bakery. The food is 10 times better and they know how to treat their guests.
Cool Aesthetics and Not Too Expensive Good Food. Being a mostly broke college student with a girlfriend, I am always looking for spots that provide a culturally rich experience that doesn't hurt the pockets so much. Park's Edge is the type of diamond in the rough that will provide the aesthete who is not an Atlien the experience you yearn for that is outside of the traditional collegiate outing. It's good place for a random weekend brunch, but swanky enough to make it into a I am a man with taste date spot (1 year anniversary for me). The food is well crafted despite the affordable price point and it's pretty tasty. I had the chocolate chip pancakes with bacon and I can say I will never be able to fully enjoy the ihop iteration ever again. Make reservations on the site to feel official(first time I ever made reservations) and enjoy.
A Fantastic Experience. We went hear for the first time with our Groupon and couldn't have been more pleased. The atmosphere was nice. We didn't have to wait. The food was fantastic [I had the scallop entree]. Great service!
Waste of money and time!. I am so over this restaurant. The wait was ridiculous for the lousy food they serve. Don't waste your time or money. There are better restaurants with way better brunch menus in atlanta.
Decent Food/Decent Service.
I went to Park's Edge for Sunday Brunch. The wait was crazy but since it was a party of two, we were seated within about 20 minutes.
I ordered the Crab Benedict. It was ok. The biscuit at the base of the dish was as hard as a rock. It appeared as if any burned biscuits, they used on the Carb benedict because it is covered by the egg and hollandaise sauce. My meal was also lukewarm.
My friend ordered the chicken and waffles. She said it was decent but nothing to write home about.
I would give it a second chance. The owner was very hands-on with trying to get people seated and making sure everything was ok. I appreciated that. I still didn't understand why it was so packed. I guess because it's the new "hot spot" for brunch.
A Highlands area gem.
We have found another great place to take friends from hip locales. We were greeted immediately and served the start of our endless Bellinis ...Delish... The wait staff was attentive and the owner and the chef came out to talk with us. WOW was our friend from Fort Lauderdale impressed.
The food choices both recommended and tried were tasty and the presentation chic. Now we know Shrimp and Grits and these were wonderful The Chilinita (new to me) was all the Chef told me his mom's favorite dish would be. OMG you must try it. Go early and enjoy.
Be prepared to wait. My party got there at 6:45, waited almost 45 minutes before we were even asked if we were ready to order, got our appetizer and salads immediately then waited an hour and a half for our entrees, when they arrived they were room temperature, not cooked to order, and not worth the wait. Every table around us got seated after us and got served before us, even the larger parties. After our entrees we waited another 30 minutes for dessert. After all that waiting we finally got the check, with a mistake on it, that took another 20 minutes to get cleared. We went into the restaurant hoping to get in and out in a hour or hour and a half, but it ended up taking three and a half hours!
Addicted to $8 Bottomless Bellinis. I am in love with this place! The food is consistently great and it is truly a joy when the owner, chef, bartenders and waitstaff are genuinely happy to see everyone! There cannot be a profit made off of the Bottomless mimosa and bellinis that they will serve you while wait for your table...and the peach nectar they use is just yummy. Atlantan's (Americans) need to get used to communal tables/dining. Inman Park seems to embrace it better than most areas and this place is better for being open to it, it's really fun to sit next to other good happy folks and catch the happy energy that flows. Hey, if you are one of those that sit and sip all day, I hope you tip the servers for renting that table!
