“Service is slow but friendly.”
WOW What a pleasant surprise- excellent!. I'm waiting for my car at Mobley's on Grove Pl and decided to walk to get a bite to eat and the place was listed on my Poynt app on my blackberry. Across the street from the 1st waffle house ever, this place seriously exceeded my expectations. I was greeted with warm tortillas and salsa. I ordered the vegetarian fajita. It came out in not even 10 minutes, steaming seasoned vegetables on a skillet, a generous portion of the best beans I've ever had, amazing rice, and all the fixings to make me own fajitas on the warms plate of soft fajitas that accompanied the meal. Hands down THE BEST little surprise. Will def be back!
Best Tex-Mex in Atlanta. My hetero life mate and I decided to go here for "breakfast" (at 1pm). Service was excellent, the salsa was amazing, and the food was orgasmic. I had the Pollo Loco (grilled chicken breast smothered with grilled bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and broccoli) and Chris had the Chicken Fajita Chimichanga. Both dishes were piping hot, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. I would drive 20 miles to eat here. If you're an El Azteca regular, I suggest you go an extra 4 miles east to Coyote Grill and eat real Tex-Mex, not the bland trash that El Az churns out.
great margaritas. This Mexican place has wonderful margaritas. My friends and I stop by here all the time for a quick fix.
Great Margaritas and Burritos. My husband and i decided to try Coyote's after passing by it multiple times. We weren't quite sure what to expect based on the exterior of the building. I ordered the Burrito California and he had the Burrito Americana with a taco. We both truly enjoyed our meals. I would have to say my burrito was one of the best i have ever had! I decided to try a margarita. I went with the mango and it was delicious. Tasted as if they pureed a fresh mango. I would highly recommend trying this place! Don't be scared by the outside!
Average food, consufing closing hours....
I typically visit Coyotes for lunch, but a to-go burrito sounded good tonight.
Website says they are open until 10:00pm. Called at 9:40pm tonight and asked, "How late are you open?" Was quickly told, "Uhhhh, we are closed" - then click! - I was alone.
If they were trying to keep me from coming in at the last minute, they succeeded. Probably also kept me from coming back for lunch. There are lots of Mexican places around here.
Lunches there have been average. Popular with locals, but I've never been blown away. Typical Mex menu, building needs repair. Service is slow but friendly. Prices match any local mexican restaurant. A very typical place.
Best Mexican food. The only Mexican resturant I like very picky usually don't eat Mexican but there food is on target try tacos de carne asada or California burrito
Good food and service. I enjoy this place every time I go. I have never had bad service or bad food. The staff is always courteous. I usually go during lunch time and have had a pleasant experience every time. I always get the fajitas, which are my favorite. The margaritas are pretty dang gone good too. I would recommend this place without a second thought. By no means is it a five star restuarant, but if you want good food and aren't worried about all the frills of the atmosphere, then this is a place you have to try!
Just dont Go.

Best Mexican Cuisine in Decatur. Many people expect something unrealistic when they walk into a Mexican restaurant. They expect it to look, feel, and otherwise be just like any other Mexican restaurant they've ever been to. Perhaps this has been their experience before: Cookie cutter atmosphere, cookie cutter menu, cookie cutter waitstaff. It's true that the entire staff doesn't speak coversational English. So? Point to what you want on the menu, smile, and say please and thank you anyway. So what if they chips and salsa aren't just like the chips and salsa you get at Los Bravos? Try something new. You might like it. So what if it gets loud on Friday night? It's loud because people are off work, enjoying the food and drink. Relax a little and you might enjoy it to. I really like Coyote's. I like that they offer food that no other restaurant in the area offers. Charros beans, verde sauce, mango margaritas... yum! I might have to repeat my order a couple of times to be heard over the mariachis, but the speedy service and piping hot food more than makes up for this small inconvenience. The menu is extensive, and has an impressive seafood and salad section. The portions are large and served in an appetizing way. Nothing is just thrown on a plate. My recommendation: The Burrito de Carnitas. A delicious pork burrito smothered in cheese dip and verde salsa, served with piping hot black beans and the best Mexican rice I've had in years. Try Coyote's. According to their web site, if you don't like it, you don't pay.
DON'T EAT HERE!!!. Met a couple friends out for dinner here and thought we'd try it out. Despite the appearance (obviously it used to be a fast food joint) the crowd was large and vibrant. All downhill from there. It took forever to get any service. The waiter was grumpy, old and spoke almost no English. I read about Coyote's great Margaritas and asked for a menu. "no menu" was the response I got. I asked if there were different flavor margaritas. "no flavors, just mango, strawberry, lime" was the answer. The service got even worse later on, but in between we snacked on the blandest tortilla chips ever, and salsa that tasted like dish soap. Finally, the waiter took our dinner orders. The problem was the Mariachi band was so loud, he couldn't hear us. We each repeated our orders, including my fiance who got the Combo #2. She said "number 2", he said "what?", she said "2", he said "huh?", she said "DOS!" and he walked away. He returned with her #8, which had nothing on it that she wanted since she ordered a #2. When she told the waiter she ordered a number 2, he said "No, number 8", and he continued to argue with us and showed us that he wrote down 8 on the bill...which requred that I point out that is what he wrote, but not in fact what she ordered. Big difference. The result: she had to eat it and we still had to pay for it. The food and the experience was terrible and I will never ever go back. I can't believe the other reviewer even gave it 5 chances!
