“Great sushi and atmosphere”
“The desserts were really good, but what's up with the spahgetti and ham and eggs?”
“was in town visiting for the Bronner Brothers Hair show the weekend of 2/21/09---we had asked some friends who live in Atlanta of a good spot for dinner and drinks.”
“While we were seated promptly and the service was good, the reason why you go to a restaurant is the food.”
“now, why on earth would you go to a place named strip STEAKS AND SUSHI and expect an amazing non meat-friendly, non-sushi menu?”
“This is a great place to hang out with friends or a significant other.”
“All the food was good and I will definitely go back there.”
“won't be going back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone, but I will encourage people to go to a better restaurant if you want a great steak for your dollars because this place isn't the one.”
“Considering the price and the inconvenience of having to fiddle through the parking garage below Atlantic station, we will choose one of the other great steakhouses in town in the future.”
“Our waiter arrived within minutes with menus, drink request and provided excellent service.”
Best sushi in Atlanta!!! I love this place!
Great Sushi!!. This is a great resturant. The atmosphere is wonderful. They always have great specials for lunch and happy hour. One of my most favorite places to eat in the city.
Strips-Everything and More. I LOVE going to this place. They have everything imaginable on the menu and it's all delicious. A group of us always goes and I never hear any complaints about anyone's food. The staff can be hit or miss here as well as the drinks, sometimes good and sometimes not so much. I still LOVE the food here and it is on my favorites on OPEN TABLE!
Somebody get the diva away from the hostess stand.... Last night was my second time going to Strip--I took a guest with me who is new to Atlanta and had never been before. We walked in and asked the hostess, who looked to be barely 18, if we could sit upstairs. She said "seat yourself". I wanted to tell little Becky Sue she should watch her mouth but instead we went up to enjoy our dinner. We realized there wasn't a table available so we went back down to eat outside. After sitting at our table without even being acknowledged for about 10 minutes, I went up to ask little Miley Cyrus what was going on. She informed me with more attitude than Ru Paul that I was supposed to ask for a table. When I reminded her she'd told us to seat ourselves she said "that is only for upstairs". I asked her how long she was going to let us sit there (are we being punished?) with no menu or service and asked again for a table. She replied that our waitress had just brought menus out and then gave me the stare down. Oh little diva, you are so fortunate that I am a classy lady because otherwise I would of pulled your braces off one by one. Overall a terrible experience. Sushi was fine, nothing exciting. Sangria was full of calories but not alcohol. Thanks for horrible service, mediocre sushi, and $8 fruit juice.
Atlanta's Best Sushi!.
Great place to relax and eat a great meal!
Enjoyed the atmosphere great customer services, and the sushi is to die for!
I would recommended anybody to go there if you want to relax, eat, and network after work!
Very So, So.
Interesting concept, but lacks focus. There were singles looking to hook up, familes there, small dining parties, and large birthday parties. So, I was confused at what concept the place is aiming to achieve.
My two guests and myself arrived on 6/27 Saturday evening. The doormen were great. We were greeted by a somewhat snooty white girl. The wait was not long. We were seated by a young black woman who was great. Our waiter, Chauncy, was very good.
If management is reading this; the doormen, the female african american greeter (one with the huge smile), and our waiter were great. The white young woman that was taking names is not a good greeter.
One guest ordered the steak salad, and it was cooked spot on to her request and she enjoyed it. The other guest took the club snadwhich which was OK. Ok, one cannot do much with a club sandwhich, but the quality was the same as could be found at Denny's. I took the lobster burger, but afterward I do not recommend it to ohers. Our nancho starter was good.
The sushi bar seems worth checking out. The roof bar would be a good place to relax for a bit. The second floor in concept is a blend of lounge and sushi bar, so its hard to figure what the concept is. The first floor is a blend of things.
The crowd that night was some really cool african americans, but some mostly uptight white singles and couples. Some families thrown in.
I left with a blah feeling. I will not be back soon as there are too many other places to go to. If you are there already, it is not a bad place to go. If you live in Cobb or Gwinnett, it is not worth the drive just to visit this establishment.
WOULD Recomenned to anyone... I went here for my 30th Birthday.. There was a little wait but it was soooo worth it.. First time there along with all the people in my party.. We all said we will be back many more times their after.. Whoever stated in these comments that the sushi was not good.. They don't know what good sushi is...??? The sushi was good the appetizers melt in your mouth(nachos & spinach dip) the sangrias there are reallyyy good.. highly recommened to anyone who is looking for a really nice place to eat with good food & service(excellent)
Wonderful Experience. I was in town visiting for the Bronner Brothers Hair show the weekend of 2/21/09---we had asked some friends who live in Atlanta of a good spot for dinner and drinks. I am sooooooo glad they recommended Strips. I wish I could remember our watiers name. He was the absolute BEST---we tipped him well. We ordered a pitcher of the Sangria---simply amazing. I hate going to a restaraunt and the waiter has no ideabout the menu....our waiter was so knowledgable and able to offer wonderful suggestions to each of us! We did sushi----one word PERFECT. We all sampled what everyone ordered... so here goes, the Zuwaikani...loved it, the Crunchee rolls...amazing! Im not an oyster person but a guest in our party ordered them and she was so impressed. We ended our dinner by sharing the bread pudding---let me say I am not a bread pudding fan---but OMG....it was wonderful! Next time in Atlanta I will be making a return trip to Strips. I highly recommend this restaraunt, wonderful food fairly priced.
This experience was a winner!. Friendliest knowledgeable staff, food runners, managers and hosts for pre Kooza Cirque. Poor reviews almost kept me from reserving thru Open Table. Host confirmed day of. Early to our reservation we were seated immediately. Asked for less Central seating then granted window seats with pleasant smile. Our waiter arrived within minutes with menus, drink request and provided excellent service. Knowledgeable about the menu, he suggested specials and discounts on wine, entree choices and respected our choice to dine at a relaxed pace. Manager checked in on us. Host took me by the arm when asking where the ladies room was located! Dessert on the house Tiramisu yum! Steaks perfect. Sushi was fresh and tasty. Every request was met with earnest. Couples, friends, groups. Once in the restaurant business for 13 years with a hobby of food and wine, this night was a Winner! Johnathan ( our waiter) trained to entertain and serve. Give this spot a shot. They gave us 20% off the check when we told them we were going to see Kooza. Not aware of that special was a pleasant surprise....
Great Service and Even Better Food!. Our dining experience was awesome to say the least! Our server was extremely patient and gladly went over and beyond to get even the smallest request we had for our dinner. I am a frequent diner of restaurants and I'm a great cook myself and must say the food was unusually good. I'm aware that the creators of Ruth's Chris also birthed Strip, Ruth's Chris does not compare because they are grossly overpriced, drab decor, and the food did not meet my expectations. Strip was trendy and prompt with service and seating. I ordered the special which was a wild caught white fish with fries and slaw. My sister ordered salmon with creamy spinach, and mashed potatoes. My mother ordered the mouth watering macaroni and cheese! We all ordered sushi to start-my 62 year old mom tried sushi for the first time and LOVED it!!! All the food was good and I will definitely go back there...SOON
