Great cut, great experience. I bought a Groupon for this salon to try something new. I lucked out & was able to walk in without an appointment & get a great hair cut from Karen on the spot! Great value, great cut, great experience. I'll be back. Thanks, Fresche folks.

Good for a while, then treated very unprofessionally. I was a loyal patron of this salon for over 3 years. I drove many miles to see Joi for color and cuts. While I admit that I like to change my hair often and I have a strong opinion of what I like, I do not feel like I deserved to be treated so badly and unprofessionally. For about 2 years, I got great cuts and color, so it wasn't all bad. The last year I went to the salon there was a decline in the quality and level of service I received. The final straw was getting a horrible cut that resembled a bowl cut like Moe from the 3 Stooges. I had to go to a different salon and pay to have it corrected, so I paid for 2 cuts in 1 week. I know that Joi knew I was unsatisfied when I left, and not once did she contact me to offer any resolution to the issue. (The one time I did go back to her to have her even up a cut, she made me feel totally uncomfortable. So I wasn’t about to go back this time.) It really seemed like she was purposely trying to get rid of me. I'm cool with a stylist and customer disconnecting and needing to "break-up", but it is totally unprofessional for a stylist to give a customer a bad cut/color just to get rid of them. A conversation would have been much more professional. I sent a few of my friends to this salon as well, and they have all left too. I do miss the great cuts and color that I got from Joi for so long, but I just can’t go back.

Dear former client ~ I wish I knew who you were, but I don't. I would welcome any opportunity to keep a client, and in my 20 years of doing hair I have never purposely given anyone a bad haircut. I've never tried to "get rid of a client" and I am truly sorry that you feel this way. It has been rare in my career, but there are times when a client and hair stylist just don't see eye to eye for what we feel is in style or looks good on the client. I have always done my best to listen to what the client wants and above what I feel, truly tried to make them happy when they leave. Again, I sincerely apologize that you felt like I did not care or that I wanted you not to come back to me - that is entirely inaccurate. Since I don't know who you are or the circumstance I can't speak directly to that; but I can say that I would welcome the opportunity to win you back and would take anything you had to say to heart.

Sarah is wonderful. I have been very pleased with my experiences here. Sarah is very patient when working on my very thick hair. The cuts have been the best I have gotten in Atlanta and the coloring has been just what I had asked for too.

Excellent Customer Care. I had a memorable (in a positive way) experience at Fresche yesterday. First, Phillippa gave me a killer haircut and recommended a color that turned out beautifully. Second, when some confusion arose regarding the price of the services, Joi quickly and professionally resolved the matter. The way that she handled the situation was a clear demonstration of the high value that the salon places on their customers' happiness with the experience.

Great Value and great service. I have been a client of Fresche for almost a year. I have been there three times. I LOVE the results each time by my stylist Sarah. She listens to my requests and the end results are always what I had asked for -exactly. I would highly recommend Sarah's services to anyone.

Best Cut and Color in Town. I have been a Fresche customer for 2 years now and am so sad to be leaving Atlanta and Fresche's owner, Joi. I have thick, long brunette hair, and Joi has never disappointed in her ability to provide the perfect cut and color...even helping me disguise grays safely during pregnancy. Her attention to detail is reflected not only in her personal work, but also in the salon where products are only carried if they meet her strictest quality standards. She aims for customer satisfaction even seeing me before the salon opens to accomodate my hectic schedule.

This salon offers great value as well. Joi always posts coupons. In fact, I have never paid full price for a service because of the great offerings. Having been at other nice salons throughout my ten years in Atlanta, I can honestly say Joi and Fresche offer the best cut and color at the most reasonable price. If ever unsatisfied, I cannot imagine that Joi would not do everything in her power to make a customer happy. I will miss her!

I will miss you too; I just hope that you have enough reasons to come back and visit and you can squeeze in your hair appointment! Thank you so much for everything you said about your experiences over the past 2 years; and for your high praises. For me, one of the perks of being a stylist is that you get to meet amazing people like you and form relationships. I am happy I was able to help you feel prettier during your pregnancy and keep it safe for the baby! With all that I'm sure you have going on, I appreciate you taking the time to say something so thoughtful ~ it really means alot! Thank you again...I hope to see you soon.

Best Haircut Ever!. I went into fresche as a new client to get a haircut, and was put with the owner, Joi. I selected fresche because I have read alot of really great reviews and seen them in other media so I thought I should give them a shot. I have really long, straight hair and told her that I was bored with it; and I wanted something new, but wasn't sure what ~ so I was in her hands so to speak. The only thing I told Joi was that I didn't want to take off too much of my length.

After cutting the initial length (about 3-4 inches) wet, she blew my hair dry and cut the rest of it dry. I've never seen my hair have this much texture or body (it's usually really flat and lifeless). Joi added in layers and texture and body all in one~ I definitely feel like my hair has a new look and I got a great haircut! I would absolutely reccommend fresche to anyone who wants a new look or isn't sure what they want and just wants a stylist they can trust to give them something amazing!

Worst Haircut For Exorbitant Price. I cannot afford to get my hair regularly, and so I saved up in order to treat myself to a professional haircut at an upscale salon. Only problem is that having gone to SuperCuts for years I didn't know where to go. I turned to Citysearch and discovered Freshce, which is convenient to where I live. I was very excited to try the new salon and decided to schedule an appointment with Joi, the owner, in hopes that doing so would net me the most satisfactory results. I arrived at the salon with photos of the cut I wanted and had in fact had 4 months earlier at a salon in Charleston SC. The cut that Joi gave me was nothing like what I had requested, described or shown. It is uneven (the right side is 1/2 inch shorter than the left), has a mushroom effect in the back, is extremely unflattering and essentially looks like a bowl cut, had the bowl tipped during the cut. I am beyond disappointed. This is, in fact, the WORST haircut that I've ever received and it cost me a whopping $75. The worst haircut at the highest price, and I'm left having to hide for 4-6 months until my hair grows out to risk trying some other salon.

In my 20 years of doing hair I have never received a review like this one. I remember this exactly because of the photos and your mention of the Charleston salon. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to match "the perfect cut" you said you received in Charleston; where you took them a photo of a local celeb they said they knew well and did this haircut alot. After cutting, you wanted it shorter and I explained that it wouldn't look the same but you still wanted it shorter. You left the salon telling me you were happy and I never heard back from you until this review. It is very upsetting to hear about someone's unhappiness this way; I would have welcomed your feed back while you were in the salon; or at least a phone call to see what I could possibly do. My prices are based on my knowledge & experience; and we consistently offer coupons all over the internet. In this economy when a small business rely's on reviews, I wish you would have handled this differently.

Not impressed, unfortunately.. Honestly- I wasn't very impressed with this salon.

I would like to say that the staff at Fresche is very friendly. The location is nice and homey in a very cute part of town, but not a very convenient location for many, at the same time. Immediately as you walk in, you are greeted by the receptionist and presented with a vast array of cookies and teas. - I have to say this is one aspect Fresche definitely got right.

Now, I'm not going to bash all the stylists, because maybe I just ended up with the wrong one since there seem to be lots of great reviews. I'm sure some of the others do great work, but this review is based on the person that I saw at the salon.

I had walked in wanting some highlights and a base color. I have darker hair and had gotten some base color at another salon prior to going to Fresche. It was fading and showing the coppery highlights, which were faded old highlights basically under the base. I had specifically told my stylist at Fresche that I did NOT like the coppery highlights and wanted a medium brown base (noticeably light- not dark brown) and some blonde highlights on top. I basically just wanted to get rid of the coppery highlights which were showing and wanted a fresh look which is why I wanted the base color too.

Anyways, my first complaint was how long it took. I literally had a morning appointment and didn't leave until 5pm. I wasn't even given a full highlight- this was just a partial. Okay, so I wouldn't mind the time as long as the results were good. However, unfortunately for me, the highlights came out orange. The base was darker than I had wanted, but I thought the base was pretty. I wasn't happy, but I'm the type of person, I don't like to make people feel bad. Especially since that girl who did my hair was a really sweet girl. I told her that I will probably call her after I see what my husband says and how I felt about it.

The next service I got, which was on the same day, was a haircut. I just wanted to keep what I had, really, but wanted majority of the splits cut off since I tend to pick at them. Well, unfortunately for me, the coloring service took so long, plus they had an event at their salon later that day, so, I felt like my haircut was really rushed. I mean, especially for the price I paid for the haircut. I've paid less at some other busier salons and have gotten lots of time and attention to my hair. I went home and looked and sure enough, still TONS of split ends.

So, as expected, I called back the salon to reschedule a redo. I told her that my hair was too orange. I had shown her a picture of a celebs hair in the beginning last time, and it was nothing like that. I didn't mention the cut, because I really did not want to push it, even though I probably should have said something. They were really nice about it, especially the girl that did my hair. Normally you would expect them to turn into a total monster if you told them you didn't like it and wanted it redone, but she was really calm. She tried to tone it to change it into more of a brown tone, but honestly, I think it looks worse now. At that time, because of all the lighting in the salon, it seemed okay but I wasn't bouncing up and down happy in any way... When I came home I just felt like crying because I had spent so much money and gotten a result I wasn't happy with. It doesn't look horrendous but it's not what I was looking for and I still have lots of split ends :( So I feel like I have to go to another salon to get my hair redone.

However, like I said before, this doesn't mean their other stylists are bad. I'm sure there are some great ones in there, but this is just my experience with one person.

I was very disturbed after reading your review and extremely disapointed. I did a little research to learn more about your hair and the experience you had at fresche. In doing so, I learned that you do have alot of thick and long hair that you came into the salon unhappy about your previous experience from another salon. Your appointment began at noon and it did take 4 hours because of the amount of hair you have to do a double process colour, a haircut and blowdry. I wish you would have said something about your haircut; we are willing to accomodate you when we know there is an issue. I am sorry you weren't happy with your end result. I know my stylist are trained well and want more than anything to make all of their client's happy. Please feel free to contact me directly at fresche to hopefully reach a satisfactory end result.
