“They not only have a great atmosphere, but the nail technicians there are so nice.”
“Sugarcoat - BEST beauty bar in Atlanta!”
“The setting is clean (you get your own set of tools) and fresh with no nail salon”
“I'd heard about it before, perhaps in one of those DailyCandy emails, and thought that it looked like a great place.”
“I'll be back but I can't say it was the best mani and pedi I ever experienced.”
“went to Sugarcoat expecting top-notch service and relaxing atmosphere, but instead, received a mediocre”
“The salon had a significant "snooty, wannabe new money" clientele where conversations seemed to drone on about inane, gossipy details.”
“ended up waiting close to 45 minutes, but I did enjoy my manicure.”
The best in Atlanta!. Don't go anywhere else! I've had so many crappy experiences at the "Nail Vista" type places, i vowed to do my own nails for the rest of my life. That lasted a couple of months, then i wanted a "treat". Sugarcoat was just what I was looking for. The great part? even though it's gorgeous and the service impeccable, it was not outrageously over priced. It's my new regular spot! Yay!
The Cleanest & Best Nail Salon!!!.
Sugarcoat is my favorite nail salon in Atlanta. I have been a loyal fan for the past 5 years. I love the signature pedicure, it's awesome!!!
Customer service is always great, love that the salon is super clean and they carry the latest nail colors from Essie & OPI.
Best Nail Salon in Atlanta. I love Sugarcoat and love the customer service and the technicians that work there. The salon maybe small but service is always impeccable!!!! I love the chic boutique feel of my favorite nail salon. The salon does get busy on the weekend, sometimes I have to wait for the valet but it's never more than 5 minutes. He was probably getting cars for other clients. BEST Nail Salon in Atlanta and definitely the cleanest and most convenient for me, I love the valet service. I don't go anywhere else.
Don't Waist Your Time!!!. Not worth my time. The parking is horrible even when a huge valet sign is present...but NO valet. The salon s extremely small my daughter's room is way bigger than this place. It is very cramped and not relaxing at all. Not sure who the owner is but everyone was very blah and did nothing to make me feel comfortable or that my business was even wanted so I didn't give it. My first and last time.
Disgruntled ex-employees. It's amazing how sour ex-employees would go to sabotage perfectly well-established business. I have been going to this nail salon for the last 2 years and I must admit, it has seen a lot of changes from different owners and staff. But I also have to confess that it's been a pleasure going to Sugarcoat lately due to the new owner. The place is a lot cleaner and the new staff is great! I know the inside story because I became a friend with the owner and she told me what actually happened. People should just get over themselves and start thinking what they need to improve their skills and marketability to have higher chance of getting a job. Don't expect people to give you free stuff, you actually have to work for it:)! Anyhow, I sincerely believe you will not be disappointed by getting your nails done here, because I know I'm completely happy with my nails:)
Disappointed !. Just another typical asian nail salon that you have to watch out for. I was a client their Nov. 19th & too my surprise State Board walked in and told everyone not to move in the middle of my service. Sugarcoat had unlicensed asian worker's their performing nail & waxing services on clients. They also were using rusty metal tools on client's as well State Board had fined them and told them that the unlicensed worker's can not return. But a friend of mine had a gift certificate that she wanteds to use up today Nov.20th and said that the same worker's are still thier they disregarded what State Board had informed them to do about the unlicensed worker's. And come to fine out the owner of Sugarcoat performs services on client's with out a nail technician license as well. I for one will not spend my money their again
Definitely seen better. No business is perfect. Some are better than others. Some comply and some don't with state rules and regulations. It is what it is. You make your choice.
Expensive "typical" service.
I've been to a lot of nail salons and we all know how the typical ones run. Just rushing and waiting for service. However, for the typical ones they are really cheap, so you get what you pay for. At Sugarcoat, I was hoping for a different experience. I see that the newer decor is in style with newer nail salons now, but I liked that Sugarcoat looked more clean and fresh. But it was different then I had imagined.
My foot massage was too short and it was just as if the nail tech hated her job. For $45, I was expecting to be relaxed and my polish to last a very long time. It only lasted a day. It was lifting near my cuticle and peeling. I could have saved 20 bucks by going somewhere else.
Dear Ms. Foster, we apologize for the service that you've received...At Sugarcoat we strive to provide the best nail service and would like a chance to correct the service that the original nail technician has done. We sincerely hope you will come back in for a free manicure and pedicure. Please give us a call to schedule your appointment. Thank you.

Not your typical Nail Salon!. I simply love this nail & beauty bar! I live in NYC; however, when I’m in the Atlanta area this salon is first on my list of places to visit. The staff is incredibly friendly; they carry all the latest colors…not to mention the sugar scrub pedicure is simply amazing! The décor is modern and everything is sterile and clean. I highly recommend you stop and pay this charming salon a visit.
BEST Nail Bar. I LOVE Sugarcoat. The girls are great and I refer ALL of my friends. Once they go they are hooked. They love the experience and the atmosphere. I love the friendly service and the fact that I can get my Essie and OPI polishes all in one spot. Peiru is just the best and she is very passionate about her business and taking care of her clients.
