The Scene
Like eating in a friend's extended living room, the interiors include dark woods, exposed brick walls, tables topped with black linens, rust and burgundy upholstery accents, and original art. Low lighting, a handsome wooden bar, a beamed ceiling and a wood burning oven create a warm atmosphere that is immediately comfortable.
The Food
The Mediterranean-inspired food is offered mostly as small plates. The lightly battered, fried crimini, portobello and shiitake mshrooms are greaseless and their earthiness shines without the dipping sauce, while the crispy calamari gets zip from fried onion, capers and lemon slices. The whole grilled fish, while moist, lacks seasoning. Thin-crust personal-sized pizzas, including the Margherita with fresh basil, are good bets.

I go here regularly..in winter I sit in front of the oven at the bar; in summer in the backyard. The wines are very reasonably priced.20 under $20...the best white is the Chardonnay/viognier mix. The feast small salad is always good...it has slices of pear, pecans, gorgonzola. Currently my favorite entree is the scallops with couscous. The planked salmon, cooked well-done for me, is always reliable and healthy. I do not eat steak so I cannot respond to the steak criticisms. The menu changes with the seasons. I have not really liked the lobster risotto. I have liked the pasta dishes. People rave over the roasted chicken but I eat so much chicken at home, that I cannot bring myself to order it....I usually do not have room for dessert but they do not do too much with the desserts..I have had all of them over time..I think the bread pudding is about the best one but this is not their strong suit. They are also great to me...I do not go on the weekend but do go on thursday nights when it is not too crowded. My service has been good but sometimes they will be slammed...a reliable friendly place to eat.

This was our first time eating here, but it came highly recommended from a friend. The ambience is very nice and being a nice evening we chose to eat on the back terrace. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about the service, however we had a great very attentive server. We did go at a non-peak time ( 5:30 on a Friday) and the restaurant was not crowded, so that may have contributed to the good service and prompt delivery of food. We had the blue crab and artichoke appitizer with pita chip, which was very good. We also had the olive mix, good but overpriced given the number of olives you get. I had the fish specical which was great and my husband had to ribeye- good but a little overcooked. Desserts looked good but we were too full. As others mentioned , they do have a nice selection of resonably priced wines. I would definately go back, howver at almost 30.00 for a piece of steak I think there are better places. I wouls stick with the seafood entrees.
Pros: wine list prices, ambiance, service, valet parking
Cons: food quality not consistent,
