Drink, Eat, Play, Stay, no it ain’t Atlantic Station, “Vino Libro” is located at “Glenwood Park”, an eco-friendly neighborhood, with particular focus on lovable, walkable urban places, not far from Downtown, off I-20 East.. I’ve attended 2 memorable events at this Wine and Book retailer with Bistro, and each time enjoyed every minute, moment, hour. If you’re looking for a nice change of pace, well..this is the place, the bistro serves small plates elegantly presented, there’s a full bar, WIFI, and an extensive wine list. Did I mention, there’s a Wine & Cheese Tastings on Wednesdays and something very unique, a Wine and Book club. The atmosphere is casual but quite relaxing, rooms beautifully decorated and accented by a fireplace for those cold days of winter. (Yeah, right..we have Winter in Atlanta) Craving something sweet, the bistro serves “Kheesekakes by Kelli”, who recently received kudos for “2008 City Search Best Dessert”, ummmmm ummmmm, I can taste my favorite Kheesekakes by Kelli right now, “Banana Pudding”, it’s DA BOMB!!!! What a great spot for a first date, I recommend during the week, weekends are filled with special events. I’m free this weekend, call me, I’ll go with you, what are you waiting for, our table awaits.

Pros: Plenty of Parking, Great Ambience

I've been in here about 3 or 4 times. Twice I've been at the bar area and have gotten good service. Once we sat at a table and it took at least 15 minutes to get drinks each time we ordered. We actually had to chase down are server at several points because we were waiting to order/get drinks. I understand that at places like this you dont get a lot of food for the money, but I ordered some smoked salmon and it came on 4 thinly sliced cucumbers...for something like $8. every other "tasting plate" was exactly that...enough to actually give your mouth a taste of the food and nothing else. What a fantastic concept. I really wanted to like this place as its in my neighborhood but I will not be returning to the bar/lounge portion of this establishment. The one star is for the wine bar itself. The actual wine shop next to the wine bar is a different story...I've been to 2 wine tastings and they've been a lot of fun and informative. They're only $10, and you get to try several wines. Also, the employees of the wine shop provide good information regarding the wines. This is always the first place I stop to get a bottle of wine for a special occassion.

Pros: wine shop/wine tastings

Cons: service can be non existant, outrageous "tasting plate" prices
