Best Therapeutic Massage – Michael has created a superb massage practice at Garden View Massage. His healing touch has really helped me, especially his deep tissue therapy. And he is so caring! He has the highest professional standards, both in the services he offers and by creating a wonderfully therapeutic atmosphere. Now, Michael has expanded Garden View to include a clinic offering several more practitioners with excellent skills. I look forward to going every time to this healthful and calming environment!
Great Staff and Great Massage – I recommend Garden View Massage to everyone. They are such professionals. The best work in town, and you are supporting a locally owned small business.
Fantastic! Feeling better everytime! – Every time I go to Patrick for a massage I feel so much better for days on end. He really knows what he's doing and takes time to understand your soreness and works with you to help you understand it, too. Thanks!
Thank You Garden View – I have never felt better in my life. I am able to use my health insurance, and I love these folks. Stop in today
Incredible pregnancy massage! – During my pregnancy I saw the owner, Michael Hendrix, several times. The best I felt during my pregnancy! He is very professional and knowledgeable about pregnancy massage. Michael made sure I was comfortable- even in my very pregnant state. The clinic is clean and comfortable. My husband and I both continue to see Michael on a regular basis.
Atlanta's Best Pregnancy Massage – I am a 37 year old mother of two, and have never written a review on a website like this. I felt the need to do so after reading the previous review of Garden View Massage. Throughout both of my pregnancies, I have counted on Garden View for their expretise in the area of pregnancy massage. I have used both Michael Hendrix, as well as therapists in the reduced rate clinic. Without exception, they have all been curtious, professional and the nicest people.
Is Garden View a silent sound-proof massage practice? No.
Nor do they claim to be.
A person may be looking for a spa to relax them, there is nothing wrong with this. I look for the best in therapeutic massage, and that is exactly what is offered at Garden View.
It is impossible to believe, and borders on the ridiculous for someone to suggest that someone came into her room at Garden View Massage. Several of the rooms are private with locks, others (in the reduced rate clinic) are semi private meaning they have large partition walls in between tables. Either way, people are not allowed just to walk around aimlessly into massage spaces.
My very serious questions would be: If there was really a "dingy" sheet problem, why would a person get on those sheets and get a massage?
This looks like a real attempt to slander a good business. Would not surprise me if the previous review came from a rival spa. Garden View Massage has a best of citysearch patch on their listing for a reason.
Terrible Experience, Even Worse Customer Service – This is the WORST experience I have EVER had in relation to massage.
I was given a Gift Card to Garden View by my husband to get a prenatal massage. When he bought the Gift Card there was no mention of the set up (loud, no privacy) and when I called to make the appointment the person answering the phone did not even know if they could provide this service and again no mention of the set up.
The service was terrible, not appropriate for a pregnant women, the sheets were dingy, the pillow was stained and had no pillow case on it (I actually had to ask for a clean pillow case), the noise from the hallway was unbearable and someone else walked into the room while I was lying on the table naked!
Michael Hendrix, the owner has been rude, and defensive and will not even speak with me on the phone to address the issue.
I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy.
This review is an inaccurate statement of facts. We strive for great customer service at all times. This client was unhappy that she booked a clinical massage, which is advertised as being entirely different than a more spa like experience. As a result, we did not charge her for the massage, and she still has the $75 card to which she refers.. She had a lawyer contact us about the $75 card, which she still has in her possession. Given that lawyers are involved we are unable to comment further. We trust that our abundance of great reviews will speak for us.
This Place Rocks – My Thai massage with Jacalyn was amazing! It felt like a cool drink of water for my entire body. For days after my one-and-a-half-hour session, I could feel much more energy coursing through my body. My pain level went to 0 for the first time in months.
Jin Shin Do Acupressure – I had an appointment with Rachael on Tuesday 3/30 for an hour and a half Jin Shin Do session – my first.
All I can say is that it was terrific! Rachael massaged pressure points on my head, neck, face, shoulders, upper back, arms, hips and legs. Many started out somewhat painful (sports injuries, stress, etc.) but eventually mellowed, and allowed me to drift off into almost a meditative state. Overall, I found it much less painful than neuro-muscular massage, while achieving similar results.
Neuro-muscular created an inflammation response that made me feel a bit dehydrated afterwards and required a bath…after which I felt relaxed, with much of the chronic muscular and joint pain alleviated. I did not get the inflammation response from Jin Shin Do, but achieved the same relaxation and pain relief. Perhaps most noticeable were my head and legs. Zero pain for two days in spite of some very intense and lengthy workouts. That hasn’t happened in years.
Given my martial arts background, I was probably more receptive to the energywork aspect of Jin Shin Do. So whereas neuro-muscular left me a bit lethargic initially (though much better later), I felt a distinct increase in lucidity after Jin Shin Do…and that too seems to have carried me through the last two (very long) days. This was a huge plus for me, but I can imagine that someone without a feel for Eastern QiGong might take a bit longer to get into Jin Shin Do.
At any rate, I’ll definitely be scheduling another appointment with Rachael!
Atlanta's Cheapest and Best Massage – There is no better place in Atlanta to receive fabulous massage rates at discount prices and the very best therapists I have seen. Try the Garden View Massage Reduced-Rate Clinic. The only thing cheap here is the price. You can even book an appointment online.
