Great outdoor patio. This place has a really cool outdoor patio area. The pizza and calamari are both amazing. Music is great. You can go here and relax outdoor with a drink or party it up with the DJ inside.

Food not the best, tendry atmosphere is good, roof top bar is great.. Honestly, for being so 'hip' and 'trendy' I was expecting the food to be much better. The sushi is not very good, especially for the price you pay, but they do have a wide variety of foods on the menu. I went there for a friend's birthday - we ate downstairs, had to wait a very long time for our food that was not even close to what I was expecting, and they took an eternity to split the bill between our large group. I would recommend telling them who is on your tab before you start ordering. Getting past the not-so-delicious food, my drinks were great. The birthday girl was not as impressed with her drink and had to have it re-made a few times. The roof-top bar was definitely something they can brag about as the views of Peachtree Rd are great. I would not recommend dining there, but I would go there again just to meet good friends for drinks.

Trendy Atmosphere. We have been here dozens of times since it opened a few years ago. The food is good as is the service. There are two patios. Both are good but the upstairs patio overlooks Peachtree street and is the place to be on good days. If you want more romantic or quiet, sit inside downstairs. The booths upstairs on the patio are awesome and seat 6 easily. I have had just about everything on the menu. You can't go wrong with the sushi or the steaks. Avoid the baked potatoes---they are always undercooked and hard. It's a place to see and be seen. Jeans are fine but at night you see a bit more dressy casual. It's in Midtown so its attracts a very mixed cosmopolitan crowd. If you can't check your prejudices at the door you probably should go elsewhere.

Definite Yeahs, Definite Nays. I've eaten at Shout twice-once in the afternoon and once in the evening. My friend from Minneapolis and I sat at the bar one afternoon, had a few glasses of wine, and experienced THE BEST sushi either of us have ever had. We were both in the military so we can honestly say we've been outside of our hometowns and experienced more than most folks. I had the good fortune of traveling extensively overseas for 12 yrs. I've eaten sushi in countries that I probably never should have taken the chance (luckily, my GI tract survived unscathed), and I've dined in downtown Tokyo at a classic, "boats floating around the joint, pay by the plate" sushi bar. While the experience of being in Tokyo and eating sushi was cool, I still have to give props to Shout, right here in Atlanta, Georgia, USA! I had the "Sushi/Sashimi for One" and she had some kind of crispy Dragon roll. Now I won't go anywhere else in Atlanta for sush. I took another out-of-town guest from NYC there a few weeks later......same experience. And by the way, as far as the price.......really, REALLY, reasonable.....especially for the absolutely top-quality of the food. Now the 'Nay' part; I will say that the service we received on the second visit was "slow". But then again, it was a Friday night and they were REALLY busy. Oh yeah, and we didn't have a reservations but we only waited about 10 minutes. And yes, the place was packed! All-in-all, I give Shout a definite "Two Thumbs Up". The food is AMAZING, the restaurant itself is very trendy and the ambiance definitely adds to the whole experience. Just make sure to check the business hours here on 'Citysearch' and go when you're not in a rush. That way if they're busy, you won't confuse the outstanding quality of the food or miss a quality dining experience with a "the world revolves around me and I expect everything NOW" attitude.

Coolest Place Around. I go to SHOUT often and can always expect a good time. I often go by myself, and wind up with plenty of interesting people to converse with. The bartenders are really good. They always take good care of me. I think the drink prices are fair, and reflective of any other bar in Midtown. The upstairs has a really great view. The dance floor gets going around 10:00pm on weekends. I don't particularly like to dance, but I will grab a chair, eat a fresh, hot pizza and watch the ladies. I enjoy the scene, but I am easy going and don't criticize establishments for what they are not. You can find flaws anywhere if you are looking...but SHOUT is doing a lot of things right, and I always have a good time.

WARNING!! WORST SPOT IN ATLANTA. I tried to do some research before deciding to host a birthday event at Shout. I read a review from September, but assumed things would have gotten better since then. My friend called & made reservations. We were a bit late getting there & a few of our friends cancelled at the last minute but most of our party were there. We too, had the terrible, lack of a waiter Ricky. It took FOREVER to get our orders, from food to drinks. He NEVER came to check on us. The cook came to check on my steak & we had to stop other waiters to get our orders. When Rick (refuse to call him a waiter) brought us our tab, they FINALLY brought my sister's steak (the b-day girl) & my pregnant friends salad AFTER we waited for 30-45 minutes for it; by then they'd lost their appetite. On the bill, he combined everyones order, which no one NEVER told us they do, THEN they tried to charge us $20 per person who didn't show up. HA!! I thought people make reservations for tables so they won't have to wait for one when they get there. Oh, and the drinks are OVERPRICED & WEAK!!! $11.50 for a Jack & Coke, but then $9 for a Martini or Bombay splashed with Cranberry. Then, upstairs they have a club. It was OVER CROWDED! Shawty Lo was there so I don't know if that was the reason. They charge $5 to get in, even after paying $10 to park, but because we ate there we got in free. Then the security hassled me for ID after showing my $90 tab with like 3 alcoholic drinks on it.The bathroom was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! Flooded with toilet tissue everywhere. Only 2 stalls & tiny. It stunk, there were glasses all over the sink, toilet tissue rolls on the floor. Trash cans needed to be clean. So I started to go downstairs to use the restroom, but if you go out, they wouldn't let you back in. At the bar upstairs, some of the bartenders are SO unattentive. I actually was gonna tip but they never came back. All in all, it was the worst experience ever!!!!

Pros: Good sushi & my steak was good

Cons: EVERYTHING else!!

DISAPPOINTMENT. Where can I start we made a reservation prior to saturday night, and still had to wait for a table. Our waiter Rick was awful forgetting things and charge one of my friends card 3 times. It was a birthday event we brought our own cake they must have placed it in the freezer because she couldn't even cut into it after they brought it out. The sushi was fine but the specialty meals for dinner were awful a friends order the lobster pasta and kept finding shells in her food. overall an bad experience i think we will just stick to Twist better staff, better experience.
