In Short – Casual come-as-you-are spot serves everything from Cobb salad with crispy chicken strips, smoked bacon, egg, avocado and blue cheese to beer-battered, fried grouper atop challah bread with green tomato chow chow. Creole shrimp and grits are a popular side choice. Dishes like sauteed diver scallops in sherry cream sauce lend an elegant touch.

Great staff, Locally owned and amazing food

Try to lump crab cakes...I'd say at least 90% all lump crab meat...beautiful. The staff makes you want to come back time and time again. Also, the owner is present and checks on the guests...try it out as soon as possible
- Pros: Food, Staff, Location
- Cons: not sure of any yet...
Wonderful! Intown Food, Suburb Attitude
by mt30067 at Citysearch
The address listed for this restaurant says Atlanta, but it's actually in Marietta...though you wouldn't know it by the quality of the food. I am so impressed. There is a wide selection of wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented upscale American fare, nice variety of wines by the glass, and incredible desserts. The ambience is great, nice yet unpretentious. A back room with exposed brick and high ceilings which reminds me a lot of NY restaurants (except more elbow room here) and an open front area rich with wood. I am also really impressed by the waitstaff. The owner seems to have a knack for finding employees who take pride in what they do (knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, mature)...something lacking in a lot of the waitstaff in this area. There was a wide range of patrons on a Saturday night...couples (young and old), friends, families. I certainly couldn't afford to eat here every night, but I plan to save the commute intown and make this my 'go to' place when I want to go out for a good dinner. I recommend the crab cake appetizer - more crab than cake - wonderful! I could go on, but I'd also suggest dessert...even if you have to share or take most of it home with you - it's that good. My ONLY recommendation to the owner would be to keep the online menu/wine list updated as well as the menu posted outside the restaurant - minor detail.
- Pros: Food, Service, Location

One of few good restaurants in Cobb County
by atlantajan at Citysearch
Cobb County, one of Atlanta's most populated, has never attracted good restaurants. Ritter's moved in to a closed elder-disco place years ago and has served consistently good food in a friendly atmosphere ever since. They offer great desserts, some interesting beers on tap, wine events, and generally a very good value. Order some chocolate chip cookies to take home (best in Atlanta) as they often sell out if them. Call about their early bird special, which is usually a decent deal. Parking right in the front... and no valet... yea!!
- Pros: Good food, consistent, value for the money
- Cons: The Atlanta city folks would have to drive out here!
