“Ritter's is a welcome and long overdue place to go in East Cobb for great food and atmosphere.”
Ritters: They have poor service don't value patronage. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 5 years. Today I took a business client to lunch as I do frequently. My lunch (Chesapeake omelotte) was not served as ordered and no effort was made to correct my meal or offer a credit. Further, I have been using business luncheon cards there for several months. On my latest one I had purchase 3 lunches and the fourth one earns a free lunch. In trying to use it management informed me that it was not good as of a week or so ago and made no efforts to allow it even based on my long-term loyalty. I will not return to this restaurant. I believe in making every effort to please a patron and in this economic environment it is ultra important. If they value my business that little then they won't get it.
Wonderful. I'm a repeat customer and always have a great experience. The food is fantastic. Consistently pleased with apps, dinner entrees and dessert (the coconut cream pie is my fav). Best brunch around. A good restaurant like Ritter's periodically updates their menu to keep things fresh for their customers and take advantage of seasonal offerings. One of the cons of being a long time customer of a good restaurant like this is you have favorites that may undergo a makeover. My selfish request - bring back the salmon with risotto dish (prefer to the spinach & fingerling hash...you do risotto so well!) and scallops over pasta w/ cream sauce dish...I can always find alternatives to enjoy, but those were my favorites!
Great staff, Locally owned and amazing food. Try to lump crab cakes...I'd say at least 90% all lump crab meat...beautiful. The staff makes you want to come back time and time again. Also, the owner is present and checks on the guests...try it out as soon as possible
Wonderful! Intown Food, Suburb Attitude. The address listed for this restaurant says Atlanta, but it's actually in Marietta...though you wouldn't know it by the quality of the food. I am so impressed. There is a wide selection of wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented upscale American fare, nice variety of wines by the glass, and incredible desserts. The ambience is great, nice yet unpretentious. A back room with exposed brick and high ceilings which reminds me a lot of NY restaurants (except more elbow room here) and an open front area rich with wood. I am also really impressed by the waitstaff. The owner seems to have a knack for finding employees who take pride in what they do (knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, mature)...something lacking in a lot of the waitstaff in this area. There was a wide range of patrons on a Saturday night...couples (young and old), friends, families. I certainly couldn't afford to eat here every night, but I plan to save the commute intown and make this my 'go to' place when I want to go out for a good dinner. I recommend the crab cake appetizer - more crab than cake - wonderful! I could go on, but I'd also suggest dessert...even if you have to share or take most of it home with you - it's that good. My ONLY recommendation to the owner would be to keep the online menu/wine list updated as well as the menu posted outside the restaurant - minor detail.
One of few good restaurants in Cobb County. Cobb County, one of Atlanta's most populated, has never attracted good restaurants. Ritter's moved in to a closed elder-disco place years ago and has served consistently good food in a friendly atmosphere ever since. They offer great desserts, some interesting beers on tap, wine events, and generally a very good value. Order some chocolate chip cookies to take home (best in Atlanta) as they often sell out if them. Call about their early bird special, which is usually a decent deal. Parking right in the front... and no valet... yea!!
Fabulous seafood, succulent steaks.. A cozy, friendly atmosphere with experienced servers and former Ritz-Carlton chef/owners. Listen carefully to the specials--they're well chosen by the chef and great values. A generous serving of wine is always provided. Desserts are created in-house; a comfort food menu is also available. By far the best fine dining experience in East Cobb; seamless and consistent performance over three years. Crowded on weekends.
Fantastic restaurant. I've been to Ritter's several times (it's a must for office birthdays!) and each time was a great dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy & romantic and everything appears to be very clean. The servers are very nice and willing to accomodate special orders. My favorite item is the Salmon BLT, which has an incredible citrus mayo, while my favorite dessert is the Bananas Foster Cream Pie. This is an excellent pick in Marietta for a date, ladies luncheon (seen several of those there) or business dinner.
Midtown Cuisine in Marietta. We took four friends from NYC here for dinner and they raved about the food -- that should indicate how good it is. Ritter's menu has a wide selection of dishes, from casual sandwiches to creative entrees of seafood, steak, and pasta. Especially recommended are the Lobster Ravioli, Sauteed Scallops, and the Homemade Meatloaf. The fireplace is warm and cozy in colder months. Be sure to save room for dessert -- you will be delighted! In a suburban area brimming with generic chain restaurants, Ritter's is a unique gem.
Cozy restaurant serving seasonally inspired, southern comfort dishes..
Casual come-as-you-are spot serves everything from Cobb salad with crispy chicken strips, smoked bacon, egg, avocado and blue cheese to beer-battered, fried grouper atop challah bread with green tomato chow chow. Creole shrimp and grits are a popular side choice. Dishes like sauteed diver scallops in sherry cream sauce lend an elegant touch.
Great Food, Great Prices, Great Desert. After spending countless hours looking for the perfect place to take my wife on our 5 year anniversary I found it "whew". This place was awesome. Amazing food, and deserts and great service. I Highly recommended this place to anyone, I'll be back thats for sure! Thanks
