I have enjoyed everything that I have tried on their menu. My all-time favorite is the California Dreaming salad. It is not a salad for dieters but the combination of ingredients with their special house dressing is worth every calorie! The steaks are better than the big chains, and even their chicken fingers are out of the ordinary. For an appetizer try the spinach nachos. A wonderful meal by themselves!

Not my favorite restaurant. Went there for my grandson's high school graduation..Special event. The restaurant was not crowded and we had a reservation. There were 8 people in our party...The service was slow and it took several trips to finally get our whole meal served. I ordered the seafood platter. On this platter was a type of claw things..too small to get even a bite from.The other items on the plate were good but small portions for the price. Another in our party ordered a steak that was not very tender. Another ordered a salad that was very large and good but remarked that the meat in it was not tender. We had brought a cake to be delivered to the table after the meal. After we were ready to leave we asked for the box to take the remainder of the cake home. It took forever to find this box so we waited almost a half hour more before leaving. We will not be going back to this restaurant. Not worth the price for what we got.

My FAVORITE Restaurant Caters TOO!!!. My co-workers and I treat ourselves a few times a month to a fabulous lunch at California Dreaming right down the block from work in Duluth ..... the food and service is always great! Yesterday I found out from our manager that my favorite restaurant would now be CATERING our office lunchens. Great food delivered to right to our office! SO EXCITED!

Always good, always pleased. We, along with many of our family and friends have frequented this California Dreaming Restaurant in Duluth many times since they opened. We have always been very happy with the food, service, and overall experience. Their croissants and side salads are to die for, better than any restaurant's we have been too. We have always been happy with the main course entrees we have ordered as well. I am making a reservation tonight for a family celebration for my mother's 90th birthday celebration and everyone is happy we are going there.

Very disappointing Experience. Very disappointing experience, especially being from Greenville, SC where the California Dreaming there is the best. My boyfriend and I traveled 45 min ti dine at the restaurant, and the service was not good, the salad dressing was watered down, my baked potato was hard, and the barbecue chicken was tiny compared to what I was use to in SC. I'm extremely disappointed because I begged my boyfriend to make the drive there, and assured him it would be worth the drive. Oh and forgot about. The tea; it was horrible, we had to add packets of sweet n low just to make it tolerable. In closing I would like to say I will never visit or recommend this restaurant again

not recommended unless you feel you just have to try once. The place has a nice atmosphere. bathroom sinks and faucets are beautiful. Food probably mediocre. It's an over priced applebee's. Everything was a bit too sweet for my taste.

The server was dressed as if I should expect exceptional service, but its about the same service you would get at a local steak and shake, maybe a little less.

Overall, the place looks fancy so if you've exhausted all options for dining, stop by, but it's nothing special. I had the ribs and I think the baby backs you get a chili's is probably better. The nachos are better at Friday's. Definitely not the best value for your money, but you pay for all their overage so if you consider that then I guess its alright.

Awesome Drinks- & Valentine's Day Special!. While visiting the restaurant over the weekend with my friends (enjoying the amazing $1.95 drinks) & I noticed they have an awesome Valentine's Special for two for only $45! I don't remember exactly what it includes, but it comes with a starter, entrees for two and a big dessert to share. It's an awesome deal, I've looked into other places, and this seems to be the best. I will definitely be there!

I'm in love with the croissants.... Everytime I have come to California Dreaming in Duluth, I recieve the best and most prompt service. I always try something new (or a new salad, to be exact) and last time it was the Broiled Salmon Salad. Can you say amazing?! I asked for my Salmon to be cooked a little rare, and it came out perfectly atop of my lovely salad. It was amazing, and of course the croissant made it perfect. I can't wait to return!

Awesome Prime Rib. My wife and I had a wonderful time, she enjoyed her California Dreaming salad and I loved my Prime Rib! It was cooked perfectly, and we had excellent service from a friendly server named Spencer. Will be returning soon!

I ATE THE BROCCOLI!!!!!!!!. Had ordered the fish of the day with some kind of chipolte topping and it was fabulous! I ordered it with only broccoli as my side because it was my favorite. How odd that someone wrote a review about broccoli! That person must have gone to a different restaurant because our food was AWESOME! It was so different and the place was really happening. There were alot of people and it wasn't even a weekend night. It was just a Tuesday and it was busy! Definitely plan on becoming a regular!!
