Gourmet sandwiches make this more than just a catering spot in Decatur.
This sandwich shop and luncheonette is the creation of New York native Chef Michael Condon who cut his teeth in Gotham's thriving foodie fair and spent two decades at top-notch restaurants before heading South. Condon bought this place and turned it into a thriving catering business complemented by casual but oh-so-tasty soups, salads and sandwiches on the sideboard for midday meals. Feast on such faves as the Maryland crab melt, garden burger, shrimp po' boy wrap or the house-named Badda Bing, with ham, salami, roasted red peppers, veggies, mozzarella and pesto mayo. Pair a sandwich with a small or large side of the delicious soup of the day and one of the fresh, crispy salads. Catering may be the mainstay of this place but the lunch menu is steadily becoming a reason for on-the-go lunchers to haul themselves to Decatur.
