The service was good but..... The shrimp and crab nachos were just awfull. They weren't completely heated up and whatever was underneath the cheese tasted sour. Entrees were served in a timely fashon, I had the southwest grouper. Portion size was smaller than I expected based on the price and the sauce was kind of bland.

When the server saw that we had not eaten the nachos the owner, Hank did come talk to us which was nice. I was a little supprised and disappointed, I guess, when we got the bill and the nachos were still on there.

Overall, an unpleasant enough experience to not give the place a 2nd try. Buyer beware!

Nice atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, excellent food. As far as bar/restaurant go this is one of the best I have seen in Alpharetta in a while. The interior is very warm and comfortable without feeling cramped. The televisions on the walls are there but are not a distraction if you are having conversation. This place is just as good for two people, a family of four, or one person going for a happy hour cocktail. It can get a little noisy based on the acoustics so I would not recommend it for an intimate dinner. The waitstaff is very friendly and accomodating. The menu is small but there are excellent selections for salads, appetizers, and some entrees. I think it is nicely elevated tavern food that feels healthy and satisfying at the same time. When I was there last time the hummus was outstanding, the chips were amazing, and the cobb salad was well composed. It is nice to see a place like this in Alpharetta.

Great Neighborhood Spot. Marlow's is unique in that it can stand as a great neighborhood bar or a midscale restaurant for two or the whole family. The atmosphere is lively, so not for those looking for an intimate night out. Food is great - Try the hummus especially if you like garlic. Staff is friendly, and service is solid
