POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and FOOD IS AVERAGE- SANITARY ISSUES.... I'm a mother who cooks indian food daily. Swapna is an average restaurant in a run-down building and sanitary issues. Some of the chairs are broken and tables wobble. I have been to restaurants all over the world, and there is NO WAY this restaurant would receive a good rating. I would have to speculate the only good reviews this place has gotten is probably written by the owner or manager himself. I also encountered poor attitudes by staff and management. In fact, I'm Indian, and none of my Indian friends have had a good experience at this restaurant. It's known for POOR customer service! The only reason this place does well is b/c there are no other restaurants in the area to compete. It's a monopoly to be broken. We travel to Gwinnett and Decatur to eat at the BEST Indian restaurants. I wouldn't be surprised if the government shut this place down!
Excellent. I consider myself somewhat of an Indian food connoisseur as I cook it at home and have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world including places that are well-known for having authentic Indian restaurants such as London, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. Little Swapna on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia certainly compares. Their lunch buffet is wonderful and their dinners are even better. I didn't expect to be impressed the first time I came here. The place looks run down from the outside but the inside is clean and the place is well-managed. I have been back here at least every 2 months since my first visit.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!. This is the worst place for families and a date! The owner is rude and has trained his staff to be rude as well. My baby was crying because she was very hungry, so I requested that they bring out the appetizers early. The Owner had the gall to say "I don't care" to my baby and I. Clearly this person has very low morals and should not be in this type of business. Obviously, you can't say the restaurant is much better. The building is old and run-down with some sanitary issues as well. Clearly not a nice place for even a date. The food is average but with the horrible customer service, or lack of, I will never set foot there again. I mean really, how can a restaurant be so cruel to an innocent, hungry, child?????
Best Indian Food!. This place is FANTASTIC!! We try to go atleast once a week to eat at Swapna....that's how good the food it!!! The CHICKEN 65 is a great appetizer and you can't go wrong with the BUTTER CHICKEN....FABULOUS!! Also, don't forget to ask for the TOMATO CHUTNEY....goes great with the papadums!!!!!!!
Best Indian restaraunt in Atlanta.. Delicious! While it looks like a dive from the outside, this is actually a really nice Indian restaurant with attentive servers and delicious food. I have eaten Indian food all over the U.S. and the world and this is truly the best I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food you get. I went for lunch and enjoyed a delicious dal soup and the best Butter chicken ever. I highly recommend it if you're looking for yummy Indian food!
Great Indian for the Inexperienced or Experienced. Swapna's lunch buffet is great, especially if you are new to the food. They serve North and South Indian cuisine so it is great for groups and vegetarians. There is no buffet at night so we like that for dates, we try to go on a weekly basis. YUM!
