Good Work Overpriced due to the middle man

I recently used this company to have hardwood floors installed and some wood trim put on my walls. I was very impressed with the quality of work. The day before our floors were installed we were told that that the estimate was wrong and it would cost us $2000 more than the original estimate. After I decided to use someone else, they gave me the original price. The trim I had done also was great quality work, however very overpriced. The problem is you are not just paying a carpenter or the floor man, you are paying the company who then pays the floor guy, who ten pays the workers. Way too many exchanges that leads to high prices. I will not use this company again. I like upfront honesty along with that quality work.
