Took a gift card in to Natural Body today that I had found with a bunch of coupons in my car. The gift card was attached to a little certificate saying who it was from and what it was for...When I took it in, I knew I would have to pay some to bring it up to date with current prices as it was several years old (although no date on card or certificate). When they removed the card from the certificate and scanned it, they said it had $6 left on it. That was an $80 gift card that they took $2/month from when I hadn't used it after one year! Needless to say, I was not very happy. I told them I would not be back. I'm sure they were crushed! I wanted to leave a comment on their website about the poor business policy, but there was not an option to do that, so I decided to let all my FB friends know!

BEWARE. NATURAL BODY CUSTOMERS BEWARE! When Natural Body International (NBI) closed its Washington, DC area franchises, it refused to honor the outstanding spa package purchases made by customers at those locations. NBI has formally stated that it has no obligation to honor service promises made by its franchisees. The Washington, DC area franchises closed with very little warning to their customers. BE CAREFUL!

Hooray for Natural Body. I love it. I love Natural Body for a no frills easy going spa experience. They have never once let me down. They're environmentally friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and easy going as any spa staff should be. Never a rush, never a push, and lots o' freebies when you visit. Great for the Budget too! I've done the six series puffy eye treatment. It helps! I don't have dark circles or baggies under my eyes anymore. I don't know if it's directly related to the facial, but hey! They're doing something right! I love Natural Body. I've been to several spas trying to comparison shop. So far, Natural Body is a fave. I can enjoy quality spa services without crying about my wallet.

The only quirk I can think of is that it is in The Avenue shopping plaza. I just think it's odd that once you're done with your wonderful relaxing massage, you will immediately face the hustle and bustle right outside the doors. Or, This can be attractive in that you can shop before or after your spa experience if so desired. Shopping and Spas are a girls best friend! There also isn't that much to the waiting room except a leather bench where you can sit and sip tea. Not that it's a complaint. It's just not quite as private as I'd like to be if

Great service, great people. I've gone to Natural Body for massages, waxing, manicures, facials. Angela is the best manicurist in town. Karen always done a great job for me waxing. I have had several different people for massages and only have been unhappy once. She was too rough for me, otherwise I always have had great ones! I'm glad there is a place so close to home. I love it!

GREAT MASSAGE. For my first visit to Natural Body i thought i would enjoy a relaxation massage. Violette was wonderful. Such power came from her tiny hands. I will definitely return to Natural Body. They are my NEW home for my monthly massages.

Expect a warm, pleasant vibe and full-service pampering at this local spa chain.. The Scene
Low-key and approachable, this local chain is a good choice for spa first-timers. The extremely friendly desk staff makes you feel at home with complimentary tea or water. Though the cozy neutral-toned waiting area is flush with magazines, you'll want to spend your free time perusing the products for sale. Natural Body stocks an extensive selection of yummy-smelling soaps, candles and skin care products by Essentiel Elements, Aveda, Bumble & Bumble and Jurlique.

The Services
The spa sticks to the basics, offering a short list of standbys like deep tissue massage and facials. You won't find the more exotic or trendy treatments here. Though technicians are amiable, some are more skilled than others, resulting in uneven service. A blissful sea mud wrap on one visit may be followed by a mediocre massage on the next, and thin walls mean some noise interrupts the tranquility of your treatment.
