“If you are looking to re-locate pay a few more $$ and get decent service.”
“was searching for a company with a reasonable price.”
Did good work, Honoured Price. They came on time and didnt break anything, not sure what else to say... overall they did a good job and didn't break anything.
I'll hire them again. A. I would recommend these guys to my mother as well as any one else. They quoted me the same price and delivered it for that price. There weren't any hidden fees. The A+ rating they have with the BBB really sums it all Up
Did a Good Job Overall. They came on time, delivered on time, didn't break anything, but I did have a scratch on my table leg, which it seems they're sending someone to repair from Sears later this week. Can't really say anything bad about them, and I'm extremely picky.
I was impressed! Great Value!.
They did a really good job and were on time. The price they gave me was honored and nothing was broken. Great job overall.
I will move with them again.
Nice people move with them 4 times!!!.
I moved with advantage moving 4 times in the past 8 years. Their workers are just great. They also got very decent rates. I mast mention miguel, yoni, Juan and yair.
I don't see how people can type bad staff on them. I am planing to use them again next month and I am sure about my decision.
Horrible Horrible people. We moved my elderly parents to NC from Atlanta in August 2007. "James" promised the world and played us like a fiddle.......he is definitely a con man. As soon as they got our deposit, they rarely were in contact and did not return calls. When they finally showed up at my parents' home, they began to charge for tape, padding,etc....furniture was destroyed, some items were missing, they were late to pick up, they took forever, and worse, they were 3 days late in the delivery. They moved things that they were told NOT to move and charged us for it. As we were charged for every box, they were only about half filled. James told us the transit would take about 1.5 days ..... he failed to mention this was after they held the furniture at their warehouse for a week prior to giving it to a trucker. I cannot tell you how frustrating, livid and helpless we were to do anything.........our furniture was hostage, they had our deposit, and they would not return calls. I wish I had some of these reviews to read prior to this fiasco. NOTE: they refused to acknowlege our furniture damage saying we would have had to open every box and thoroughly examine every piece and take it up with the truck driver - who was anxious to move on - prior to his leaving. And yes, we had to pay in cash before he would unload.
Scam Artists.
I planned to relocate to Pennsylvania on 11-2-2007. I was searching for a company with a reasonable price. I spoke with James of Advantage Moving. He asked me what I was having moved and gave me a binding quote. I should have known that something was not correct when the day before the move they wanted to change the time from 6-7 pm to 10:00am. I knew prior that I needed time to get the apartment ready and pick my mother up at the airport. Therefore, when they arrived at 12:30pm on 10-30-2007 I was not ready and it ran into the time that I was supposed to pick my mother up at the airport.
The problems first began when James told me that he needed to pick my furniture up on 10/30/2007 to make the date of 11-2-2007. I later found out after my furniture and clothes are loaded on the truck that they cannot make the date. Mind you, my stuff was still in Georgia on 11-2-2007 and Jay was still hanging up on me.
I was being charged for tape, and boxes etc… Later when I arrived in Pennsylvania the owner Jay hung up on me several times and then charged my credit card without my permission in the amount of $ 1080.00. I am now disputing that with Wachovia Bank. James in the original quote said to pay a deposit of 100.00 and the rest I had to pay at the time of delivery. I held my part of the bargain. Later I found a charge of $ 1080.00 and I am being told that this is for extra space. This was not told to me when I signed the contract. I also noted on the agreement that if they were late I would receive a $250.00 per day refund. I received my furniture on 11-4-2007. I was living out of my truck with my disabled mother in the middle of nowhere trying to attend to her.
Please warn others about this company and assist me with these people. I also forgot to say they destroyed my coffee table.
Sincerely,
Stacy
ATLANTIC RELOCATION INC IS AN ORGANIZED CRIME ORGANIZATION WITHOUT A HEART.. In mid November 2008, I called this company in Atlanta, GA to move my furniture from my Texas residence to Vermont. I spoke with a female staff by name, Tammy who told me she was from Indianapolis. She was such a smooth talker and a liar. She gave me a price of $805.00 and a pick up date of 11/28/2008. On that date, she dispatched two hispanic movers to my house to pick my household goods. One of the movers appeared to be under the influence of a dangerous "D" by his behavior. He was very disruptive and argumentative. I was really concerned about him moving my goods, but since I had just two days left in Texas, I had no choice but to let him. They promise to deliver my goods in Vermont within 10 to 15 days from the date of pick up. They collected a deposit of $500.00 in cash and left. I moved to Vermont on 12/02/2008 to receive my goods. I expected them to be delivered by 12/13/08 as agreed, but they never arrived. Day later, I called the office to speak with Tammy, but she was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. In a harsh tone, she told me I should not call her again to call Brett or Jay, the President. I spoke with Brett and Jay on different occasion to get my stuff and their last name. They refused to give out their last name. But they told me that they had my goods stored in their warehouse in Atlanta because they have no businesses in Vermont because Vermont is a remote place. They in fact said they would hold my goods until they can find some customers moving to Vermont and then deliver my goods. These criminals never told me they were going to hold my furniture hostage in Atlanta for georgraphical reason. I received my goods on 01/17/09 after filing complaints with the FBI, USDOT and the State Police, but my computer was damaged. I went through a lot of difficulties because of this company. I am hoping that the Fed would shot this company down and bring the criminals to justice for what they are doing to people.
BEWARE - LIARS!! CROOKS!! THIEFS!!.
I hired Advantage Moving & Storage, now Atlantic Relocation Services, in October of 2007 to move my furniture from Atlanta to Houston. The company agreed to store my furniture in their facility for $100.00 per month until I was ready for it to be delivered in Houston.
I attempted to contact the company from June to August to arrange delievery of my furniture. Every phone number I had for Advantage Moving & Storage had been disconnected. The telephone number listed on the World Wide Web had been changed to a cell phone number. I called and left messages on this cell phone for 2 months. No one ever returned my call. I had to drive all the way from Houston to Atlanta to track down my furniture. The company had relocated and moved to their new location on Bankers Circle.
Jay refused to allow another moving company to come and pick my things up. He demanded $2,000 from me on a Saturday afternoon and refused to take a check or credit card. He claimed that is how much money he would have made if I had allowed him to deliver my furniture to Houston. Everyone knows the max you can withdraw from an ATM is $500.00
When we pulled out of the parking lot Jay flipped me and my wife off.
I paid the monthly storage fee faithly the 1st of every month. Last week I received a letter dated in August, but the envelope is post marked October 15, stating they have auctioned off the entire contents of my home because I was 90 days past due on my stoarge dues.
I have a copy of each check that Jay cashed proving that I indeed had not missed a payment.
HORRIBLE! COMPLAIN TO FMCSA. They moved me from Smyrna to Seattle last year. Jay Knaso is incompetent and his staff (James, Nikki, whomever) are the most deceitful aholes out here. Contact the Federal Department of Motor Carriers (protectyourmove/org) and file a complaint, please!! You've gotta make it known through those types of avenues. File w/your B Business Bureau. It might not help immediately, but it's part of the paper trail. They have changed their name from Advantage Moving & Storage to Atlantic Relocation, but their address is still the same, the play the SAME games if you call the old number (which still works, what dummies) and pathetic is STILL pathetic
