The Scene
The large, elegant dining room is quiet even when full, thanks to beautiful, understated cream banquettes, silk pillows in gold and mocha and neutral carpet. Red columns anchor the soaring space, jazz plays, lighting flatters. The exhibition kitchen gives the sophisticated crowd a glimpse of the culinary artistry. Service is unobtrusive, gracious and attentive.
The Food
The spectacular Thai dishes, conceived by co-owner Chef Nan, are deeply nuanced, each bite revealing layered flavors. Highlights include beet juice-tinted dumplings and yum pla ka pong, a salad of delicately fried red snapper with green mango presented with a martini glass filled with spears of raw green beans, carrots, celery and basil. Braised beef short ribs with Massaman curry sauce are luscious and fork tender, while whole sizzling fish with dry green curry is a sight to behold and taste. Bracing lemongrass pot de creme is a fitting dessert.

We joined some of our friends for a Saturday evening meal on their recommendation, and indeed the food and service was excellent. The lavatories were also interesting. Our only complaint was that we could not hear each other. We were seated amidst two huge raucous parties, and conversation became strained. If we're going to drop a couple hundred bucks on a meal and an evening out, I'd like to be able to converse. Large parties should be confined to a specific area while small parties could keep in a more intimate setting. A little creativity would help here.

This is an excellent restaurant. Very hard edge and elegant. but very expensive for Thai food. So save it for special occasions, and only if you really love Thai.

This is a very classy place. Although Parking is an issue especially on nights that the restaurant is full, the service is perfect, they have a free valet service too. The restaurant is pretty on th inside and the food is nice. It is expensive though.
