A delicious little spot. Tucked on the end of a little strip in North Highland, not too far from Little Five Points is a delicious little place with a name good enough to make you drool. Skip the limited front parking and go around to the back, because otherwise you'll have a difficult time leaving. When I originally heard "Factory" in the name, I expected something a little less personal, and a good bit bigger. I was surprised to see a tiny little shop with handmade morsels in flavor combinations that made me both curious and hungry. My favorite of the unusual flavors on my trip there was definitely "Sugar Cookie/brown butter rosemary", and my partner's favorite was "Caramel Apple". Whether you're craving a classic cupcake or one with a bit of individual flare, The Atlanta Cupcake Factory has something to tempt just about everyone, and is even offering Valentine's Day 6 Packs, complete with ribbon & cute old fashioned hang tags to write a note for your sweetie. At $2.50 per cupcake, it's hard to order just one. Call in advance for special orders, like their $35 dozens or $17.50 dozen minis.

Boutique Confectionary Deliver Sugar-Bomb Goodness. Tucked away in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it parcel of retail space along the Poncey-Highland strip near the Highland Inn, Atlanta Cupcake factory is a cutesy miniature gastro-pleasure house serving up rich cakes with decadent icing. This place really found it's stride with vegan cupcakes that will silence even the biggest meat 'n cheese eating skeptic. Stop in and grab one during your stroll of the neighborhood for a quick sugar rush.

Nestled in a strip of stores off North Highland that include an indie-bicycle shop and art boutique, this cute shoebox-of-a-space does cupcake treats with Wonka-worthy addictiveness. A smattering of flavors colorfully brightens the glass display case, ranging from lemon to key lime, plus seasonal bites like eggnog or peppermint for the holidays. What really sets the Factory apart from other cupcake shops in town is their selection of vegan cupcakes . and the vegan baker's ability to make them not taste like anything vegan at all. These morsels come in a slue of flavors and while adhering to the normal non-dairy standards, they're somehow moist and downright scrumptious. All cupcakes are both rich in flavor and price ($2.50-$3 per) but it's reasonable for the decadence of the occasion. ..
