Yikes. This was our first visit to Atlanta. While travleing back home from Destin, FL we planned a stop in Atlanta to go to Six Flags. We booked this room though the Six Flags website and prepayed for our room. When we arrived they didn't have record of our payment. Thankfully we had printed out both the confirmation and the credit card charge. They claimed that we made the reservation for May and didn't show. Funny, that's not what our confirmation page said. We asked for a non-smoking room, but realized immediately upon walking into the smoke filled lobby that it might not matter. I have asthma and immediately had an attack in our room. I played it down because I knew we already paid. But while driving around looking for dinner I was getting worse. While driving around we noticed how scary the neighborhood was. A prostitute walking down the street, an interesting looking gathering outside the liquor store and several abandoned businesses. Not a very family friendly environment. We found another room at another on the other side of town and checked out of the room. When we told the person at the counter that the hotel was aggravating my asthma, they offered us another room. Clearly not understanding the problem. We knew we would not get a refund, but just wanted to tell them one of the reasons the hotel was not satisfactory for us. We are from the west and have visited theme parks where we stayed in the hotels advertised by the park and never had any issues with the quality or the neighborhood. It was interesting that they seemed not to believe the reservation snafoo was theirs even after seeing our documentation. I have stayed in several Days Inn's before as well and found them to be fine. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Hotel BUT...... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
