I needed to have some motor mounts replaced which my extended warranty covers. I made an appointment for both motor mount replacement and an oil change. The woman told me it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. I brought my car in and was assured again, 1.5-2 hours. Perfect. I go in, set up my laptop, get some complimentary coffee and utilize their wi-fi. All was well until an hour and 15 minutes passed and the service guy comes in and asks to me to come with him so I can go over the repairs. They hadn’t even started on my car, and used my warranty company being “slow” as an excuse. At this point he tells me that I need new brakes, but that he’ll “hook me up” with a great deal, only $150! Which is actually funny, because I had received the $150 coupon in the mail, as did every other Hendrick customer. I explained to him that I’m a college student and don’t have much cash to spare and asked him if it was okay to take it to a place like Just Brakes which is only $99. He told me that it would actually cost just as much after they tack on all of the fees. I was also confused as to how my brakes could possibly be as bad as he made them sound when I’d noticed no signs of wear. I told him to go ahead and take care of the brakes and went back to the waiting room. 3 hours later, I was feeling very antsy and went to ask him what the status was, to which he replied, “Well I faxed over the bill to the warranty company over an hour ago and hadn’t heard nothing from em.” Angered, I called my warranty company (who is great and doesn’t take long to process ANYTHING) and they told me that they had been calling and leaving messages for FOURTYFIVE MINUTES! The service manager denied getting any calls. After I finally got to leave (5 hours later), I looked at the receipt and realized they had ONLY REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES FOR $150!! I'm not even sure they replaced the brakes, it doesn't feel different at all. Overall - Sneaky, over-priced, & not afraid of wasting your time
Pros: Nice waiting room
Cons: takes forever, over priced, inefficient, possibly dihonest
