“The location was also very beautiful and relaxing!”
“It is a great place to relax.”
“was so disgusted that l would NOT ever go back to that location.”
“The staff was very professional and courteous.”
“We had 2 gift certificates with well over the amount needed for 2 massages (the massages are pleasant at best, nothing worth what they are charging) yet the female at the checkout was LOUDLY exclaiming that i owed X amount.”
“The 30 minute facial was nice, but the entire time the tech tried to sell me something.”
It had been about 1 year since I had a massage at Spa Sydell. I went on the recommendation of the reservation specialist and booked my appointment with Divine. The massage was amazing and Divine was very informative and caring. His massage was just perfect. I left feeling very relaxed and "armed" with information to keep the relaxation going until my next appointment! Thanks SO Much Divine.
I experienced a heavenly massage today by Divine Shamir. His technique and advice were superb. The knots of tension are gone and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Can't wait to have another appointment!!
Yesterday, I went for a one hour massage and Maggie, the manager was very accommodating. I had inadvertently printed the wrong coupon and she let me go into the back office and use the internet to look it up! (I don't have a smart-phone :-( ) Anyway, for the second time and forever, I saw Veronica. She is super sweet and actually wraps my feet in warm towels as she works my upper body! She is a good listener and is open to suggestions. I don't let the sales pitch bother me....no biggie. The location is great as I always get a little shopping done before and can grab groceries at Trader Joe's on the way out. Productive day!
I had a 60 min massage after i run half marathon, Divine was my masseur he was so professional with what he does and recommend what I should do after i get home. i love it. My only problem was, they only take cash for a tip you can't add it on your credit card, even though they have an ATM, you have to pay extra for the ATM use.
Received my first 60 min massage from Divine today and he did an amazing job! His therapeutic and relaxation massage was exactly what I needed after a stressful work day. He was professional, friendly and had a comforting spirit.
I was given a service certificate by my husband for my birthday. I was really nervous as I had never been to a spa or kept up with my nails. Usually, I do not like getting them done as I have gotten complaints from technicians at hard they are to do since I don't up keep them. My technician was Ruth and I could not have dreamed up a better technician. She was patient, polite, and I knew right away she loved doing what she did for a living. I apologized for the condition of my nails and she told me that was what she was for!! The spa is absolutely gorgeous and the most relaxing place I have ever been to. I felt like I was light years away from my everyday life. And I LOVED their water! I swear they put feel good drugs in there haha but Ruth said it was purified in a system they swore by, and now so do I! I will definitely be back and request Ruth. My hands and nails still look gorgeous 2 weeks after my service! Thanks Spa Sydell for making this mother of two little boys feel glamarous and escape for a little while!
THE
WORST>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I normally go to Brookwood location but they were full so I book with Peachtree Pwky location. And it was the WORST experiance ever. Ruth the nail tech painted my toes the color she wanted to but ok no problem, it was kind of cute. I was rushed 15 in and out, no relaxed, offer any water or tea, it wasn't the treatmemt I'm used to. She took alot of short cuts because she hasn't had lunch and was overworked. Not to mention the manager was in a fuss battle at the front counter with a client, the manager was just disrespectful and rude. After my 15 min pedi, and half polish toes with no top coat. I was very upset. I spoke with the manager then she start to be very rude and was like talk to the director and she couldnt do anything about it.The young lady at the front counter ask me to come back and hse will give me 15% off, no way after that bad service, my money was worthless to them. I will NEVER visit SPA SYDELL again, The customer service sucks, the nail techs are overwork so they give bad service and the manager is very unprofessional. I post my reviews on every site and blogs. I work in PR and my voice will not go unheard. WASTE of $$$
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
EVER!
I'm a sucker for luxury spa treatments at a discount so when Spa Sydell posted a $45 Groupon for 60 minute massage, I pounced. I originally scheduled an appointment for 7/1 but had to cancel due to a schedule conflict. I made sure to call 24 hours in advance per their cancellation policy. I rescheduled the appointment for 9/29 at the Midtown location. I presented the Groupon at check-in and was told that the certificate had been redeemed. I explained that a previous appointment was made but it was cancelled and the certificate was not used. After speaking with a manager, the young lady at the front desk advised that she would take care of the issue and instructed me to go up for my service. Upon checkout, I was told that the value of the Groupon was applied towards a cancellation fee and that I owed $90 for the service! I explained, again, that I cancelled the service 24 hours in advance and I was not informed of a cancellation fee. I was told to contact the customer service director at their corporate headquaters, which I did the first thing the Monday after the 9/29 service. Since then, none of the daily messages I've left have been answered. I called the Forum location (who referred me to corporate) to inquire whether the director was in town and was told that she may be too busy to return calls because she was preparing for the Breast Cancer Walk-A-Thon and a peer's wedding - two unacceptable reasons for ignoring a customer issue in my opinion.
Despite the WONDERFUL massage I received (request DeAngelo if you book a massage at the Midtown location), I will never, never, never, ever step foot inside a Spa Sydell ever again.
My plan is to escalate my case up their corporate ladder until I achieve resolution. Wish me luck!
If anyone from Spa Sydell corporate is reading this post, I welcome your response.
I visited this spa a couple days ago with a friend who had visited before, and I loved my facial and massage. However, the front desk just ruins the whole experience. They talk to you about series when you come in. Then the therapist talks about it, then they go into it AGAIN when you leave...seriously?! I heard you the first time. Then, to top it all off, when we were waiting to check out, there was a woman behind the desk that was just so loud and pushy, it was downright rude. Then my friend tells me that was the owner! No thank you. Unfortunately, the therapists were great. But it's not worth dealing with the rest of it. A spa is supposed to be RELAXING! Not just during the service- but the WHOLE EXPERIENCE!
