“The outstanding presentation and superb service, were topped off with a frosted chocolate mousse cake that was cold, firm, and deeply flavored with rich, raw cocoa.”
“The separate meal/drink waiter system failed though.”
“While my Asian Fusion bias cannot let me recommend the restaurant if you are looking for a traditional asian meal.”
“Ps if you order a dish that tastes like crap, be prepared to be told by the manager that its your fault b/c you didnt read the menu or ask questions.”
“Overall, great experience, a perfect place to have a fulfilling dinner before a night out on the town.”
“highly recommend Silk for private parties and I can't wait to go back and have a sit down dinner there very soon.”

“Great food, fair price, awesome atmosphere, great service, variety of asian/american food and sushi and it was delicious, not too loud but not to quiet, not to dark but not to bright.”
“The service was ok, but the food was very slow to come out and one of my friends actually had to get up to refill her own water.”
Nice quality place various food options. Wanted sushi and was headed to Fune but went to the front door and Fune was closed. Headed up the street to silk to give it a try. Silk was enjoyable had good rolls and the chef sashimi was okay. Nice place to go if someone in your party doesn't want sushi steak options and other things available. I will go back. Great Service!
Amazing atmosphere, service, food and drinks!!. We just had the pleasure of dining at Silk during our first trip to Atlanta. We absolutely LOVED it! The service was absolutely impeccable (ask for Richard). The menu was beautiful and offered a diverse selection of foods that would suit just about anyone's palate. The drink menu was out of this world and had some really fun choices. We decided to make our evening consist of Asian Tapas and some sushi so that we could get a real idea of what they had to offer, and we were extremely happy with everything we had. Definitely not to miss are the peach sparkling martini, the chili shrimp, the grilled duck dumplings and the lobster sushi. Even the restaurant design was impeccable and unique. Parking was easy and validated for you. We will definitely be back! This restuarant is not to be missed!
Good sushi, high prices. Been here several times on various occasions since they've been open. Always the same experience except prices seem to be higher than ever. The food is definitely good and the atmosphere cool and modern. If you are interested in a seeing and be seen environment at an Asian fusion restaurant serving nice cocktails and good sushi this is ideal on the weekends. Please be warned the prices are not moderate, they are high. The food items are good, not great nor exceptional. The service has always been spotty and somewhat pretentious. Location is great as it's located near other restaurants and shops. It would not be a disappointment to try this restaurant unless you were concerned about getting your money's worth. Dress to impress or you might get the cold shoulder.
I have not been here but.... All of the 5 star reviewers have only reviewed ONE restaurant. This one! I'm a little wary of whose these people, or this person may be!!
An EXCELLENT Experience!. Last night my three friends and I had one of the best dinners ever at Silk. The service was just so wonderful and the food was simply amazing. We all had something different and each plate came out looking like art! The tastes of Asian infused sauces only enhanced the food. Anyone looking to actually go out and dine needs to try this place! We will be back and are glad to have found Silk.
One of my favorites!. I absolutely adore this restaurant. The service is outstanding and the food......fantastic! The menu is a pure treat with a variety of food selections from sushi to kobe steaks/burgers to amazing seafood dishes and not to mention a fantastic bar menu for those looking for a lighter fare for the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for an extraordinary experience.......you won't be disappointed.
Sadly, Silk has turned into a Sow's Ear.
Silk used to be wonderful. We have been 10+ times over the last three years, and while the initial experiences were great, the recent ones have been a disaster.
Worse though is that the concept seems to be fizzling. The (formerly great) signature lobster special is now off the menu. The sushi omakase, which I ordered for the first time last night because I was in the mood for something light, was an exercise in menu deception. Instead of having the promised "selection of the freshest sushi the chef has to offer" I was presented with four courses, only one of which was fish! A hot soup with cooked fish, hot cooked crab with aioli over scallops in the shell, (the so-so sushi course), and the, the piece de resistance, a dish of (allegedly) Kobe beef meatballs.
I could not have been more shocked when the meatballs were delivered, and as I was about to eat it, the manager came to the table and asked how things were going. I told him (and I had not yet reached the complaint stage) that I was not expecting to be served meatballs. His reply: "Yes, it is a nice surprise, isn't it?" Under my breath -- "No." I begin eating the meatballs, and after two bites, I begin sharing my partner's dinner of king crab legs and cold mashed potatoes.
When I expressed my displeasure with the omakase in general to the same manager, he said that he would "take it off" the bill. He did not, he merely deducted three-eighths of the price. I guess he determined that I was five-eighths satisfied. You should have seen my cartoon-style double-take at the entry of "Omakase Kobe Beef" on the bill.
We have been recommending Silk to intown friends, OTP voyagers, and out-of-town guests for years. These recommendations will now cease. As great new Midtown restaurants have opened, Silk has lagged behind and been lapped.
Note: if you go, enjoy the great remnants of the wine list developed by sommelier Gregg, who has left, probably recognizing that Silk has seen better days.
Healthy, fresh sushi and edamame tastes Fabulous. Great atmosphere.. Sushi is one of my favorite foods and it not only looks good but tastes good at Silk restaurant. I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the Fashion Show while eating at the same time. That's cool!
AMAZINGLY SUPERB, I DON'T KNOW ANY OTHER RESTAURANT LIKE IT IN ATLANTA!. My girlfriend and I went here for our Valentines dinner and it was absolutely amazing, I keep raving about this place to everyone, I love it. Great food, fair price, awesome atmosphere, great service, variety of asian/american food and sushit and it was delicious, not too loud but not to quiet, not to dark but not to bright. I can't explain in words how great this place is, just go and expierience it yourself. Ask for the Kobe Burger!
Best atmosphere!. Went to Silk this weekend and strongly reccommend it to anyone! It had the best atmosphere, from excellent service where you feel as if you are the most important guest to amazing decor throughout the restaurant. The food was also impressive and of great quality. The combination of all these qualities made it an enjoyable evening that I would definitely reccommend to everyone!
