Great Food... Unique and Creative Menu. First of all, I would like to say that I am shocked at all the negative reviews on this place. The food we ordered was very very good! We definitely enjoyed it. I was really impressed with the creativity behind the items on the menu and food presentation. Also, I think the concept is great. My girlfriend is 100% Italian, therefore being pretty picky about the Italian food she eats. She loved the Ravioli dish she ordered. I would say that the portions were PLENTY. Enough to bring home and enjoy for another meal.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!. Wow, what a disaster!

First off, it takes over 10 minutes to get a drink. Then the waitress has to go into this dissertation on the history of the restaurant and where the freaking olives came from... like we care.

It took over three hours for a gathering of 14 people to "enjoy" their meal...

The waitress, during her dissertation, actually interrupted my wife and another guest, because they were having a private conversation while she was in the middle of her speech. RUDE BEYOND COMPREHENSION!

The food was average, at best. Meatballs that were the consistency of two day old dog turds with seasoning, and everything was high on presentation and very low on substance.

Over $700 for 14 people, which did include some cocktails, like $11.95 for a screwdriver? Huh?

Terrible service, terrible food, terrible price.

This is not Italian food!. They spend more time presending the menu and telling you about the history of the restaurant than they do providing you with good service. We waited about 10 minutes before the waiter came to take our drink order. It took him 11 minutes to come back with the bottle of wine. Then the owner came over and told us about the history of the restaurant again. All we wanted to do is enjoy a good meal. But it never happened. My wife ordered fish which was overcooked and my chicken was very bland.

The portions were very small but the prices were not. We both ordered cheese cake which was the worse we have ever had. We are both from New Jersey and Italian and have enjoyed excellent Italian food all over the world and it is an insult to call this food Italian.

Go somewhere else. Ok, here is the experience.

As we drove into the parking lot, we noticed that there was valet parking was a non negotiable. In the city this may be a necessity, but Sugos has its own parking lot. Kind of odd I guess. We handed the keys off the the valet and watch them park my car in a parking space 20 feet away.

As we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff who seated us immediately.

As we sat down our server arrived and proceeded to take the next 6-8 minutes explaining the history of the restaurant, the uniqueness of it and the specials for the evening. I would have preferred a simple greeting and a quick rundown of the specials so we could order our drinks.

Shortly after our drinks arrived a manager arrived as well and asked us if this was our first time here. When we replied "yes" she immediately plopped a pen and info card on our table for us to put our contact info on in order to receive advertisements from them via email.

First course...Tapas. We ordered the Asparagus, Dates and Bacon, and the calamari. The dates and bacon was very flavorful, if a little short on serving size, fried asparagus was somewhat plain, but the calamari was extremely strong and fishy tasting, as if it was a couple days older then it should have been. Serving size was also small with the calamari, although we never finished it.

Main course was the Pork tenderloin. Big on presentation, short on flavor. Fried artichokes on the side were decent, sauteed onions underneath were cooled, as if they were sitting there a bit waiting for the meat to finish, and the pork tenderloin moderately sized, loaf shaped piece of meat with two hunks of mozzarella jammed into two incisions on either end. The meat's flavor was very bland and uncomplex, and the balsamic based sauce was useful for presentation only.

Third course Desert: The best part of the meal was the Baklava cheescake. Good sized piece and very tasty. If you do wind up at Sugo's order this.

As we finished and paid a considerable bill for largely uninspiring food, we headed out to the parking lot to the valet stand, watched them hustle off to our car 20 feet away and retrieve it for us for a tip.

Bottom line, I've been all over the world and ate at many quality eating establishments. Sugo's fall into the trap that so many do when attempting to play with the big boys in terms of fine dining. Their overwhelming effort is presentation, unfortunately actual taste and satisfaction take a back seat.

Very Authentic Italian Food. In spite of living in Roswell for more than 3 years, we did not know about this wonderful place until one day we accidently found out about it. Starting from Starter to Dessert all the dishes were very very delicious...The customer service was excellent just like the food. A MUST try Restaurent!!!

Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate at Sugo (Clocktower location) for the first time on a recent Saturday evening and were completely blown away by this gem of a restaurant.

We ordered several tapas items as our meal. Our favorite was the butternut squash tortelloni, a seasonal special. It was tender and flavorful. In fact, it was so good, my eyes actually rolled back in my head when I ate it.

Also excellent were the fried asparagus and the pumpkin cheesecake, and my husband said his cup of decaf coffee was so good, he wouldn't have guessed it was decaf.

The only miss we had food-wise was an heirloom tomato special. It was good but not remarkable and for us, not worth the $14.95 we paid for it (although, knowing the price of heirloom tomatoes, I wouldn't suggest they were overcharging, it just wasn't worth it to us).

This restaurant really seems to care about using quality ingredients and preparing them well.

Service was good, although not outstanding. Our waitress was reasonably attentive, but we certainly never felt rushed. There was one time I would have liked her to come to our table sooner, but she was at the next table running through the LONG list of specials.

Our meal, including one dessert and one coffee (but no alcoholic drinks) came to under $50. The last nice restaurant we went to was the much-hyped Craft, where we paid about three times as much for less enjoyable food -- and less of it -- and didn't enjoy it nearly as much.

The atmosphere is nice but not too formal. They have a kid's menu as well, but the place is relatively cozy, so I would only come if your kids know how to behave in a restaurant -- a couple of rowdy children would likely disturb the whole dining room.

This restaurant has immediately become one of our new favorites.

Class meets convenience. Pizza rollatini with caramalized onions, BBQed octopus, elegant espresso machine, unique martinis made of fresh ingredients...Sugo truely is the best of comfort, taste, affordability, and luxury.

Great atmosphere, great location. Similar to their other locations, this Sugo is magnificent in quality and atmosphere. Very attentive wait staff and great food selection.

A must visit for anyone in the Roswell/Alphareta area. I take out of town visiter and my ITP friends here all the time. I am not normally a tapas fan, but this place has the best I have ever had. The meatballs are an absolute must!!!! If you arent into tapas, then the rest of the Italian food is also amazing. I took an italian friend here for the first time and he is now constantly going back.

Equally as amazing as the food quality is the very reasonable prices. No matter what we order or how much i get to drink, i am never shocked at the bill and always think what a great deal it is.

The historic roswell location is better than the one off holcomb bridge.

Simply... the best ever.. Sugo has the best Italian/Mediterranean cuisine i have ever tasted. All dishes are made to perfection in a flavor incomparable to others. The Absolute brilliant chef Fred Castellucci has created flavors that will amaze your buds.

Try any Special available because they are truly special.
