Luckily, even though I was with this insurance company for nearly 6 years I was never involved in any serious accidents. My vehicle was hit on two different occasions while in parking lots but I never had any of the repairs done because they were only cosmetic. My complaint is the ridiculousness of their rates. When I first got my policy I was paying 225 a month for full coverage. Which I didnt know at the time was bad. 5 years have passed and I tried to add a new car to my policy, guess what? You cant do that on a Saturday because they arent freaking opened. So I had to wait till the following Monday and then they tell me I cant do it over the phone or the internet. So I had to send them a fax, which they lost and since I didnt have insurance on the car the dealership couldve come and picked up my brand new car. Luckily the lady who sold me the car was very understanding and resent them my fax and then they received it. To make matters worse for full coverage on both vehicles they wanted 300 a month even though I'm 25 and have had no tickets in the past 3 years and no accidents in 5 years. Next month I'm moving to State Farm, who quoted me for both vehicles less than I was paying for the first one by itself, with more coverage. They were probably screwing me over for a long time I just didnt realize it. All the money I could've used to help take care of my family. Disgraceful.
NASTY, LOSERS, I'M THE FRICKING VICTIM HERE hit by someone 4Xs over the legal limit! Them no good IDIOTS tell their adjuster what they want to pay ($211.00) after he sent them a $2100.00 estimate of costs he had to change it for them, and that is only the tip of the iceberg!!!! This happened in SEPTEMBER 2012...... It is NOW APRIL 20013 OMG these people are ridiculous and I hope EVERYONE boycotts this NASTY disgusting company. They need a GOOD COME UPINS. As my daddy use to say Don't Step in crap you'll track it everywhere. NASTY!

This is the worlds worst insurance company!!! But they are the best at collecting your monthly premiums. They will not pay off if you have an accident.A total hassle!! After 15 years of dealing with this company (loyal customers) they are giving us the run around over less than $1,300 worth of damage (wth) We will be taking this to the insurance commissioner and we have already been to the Better Business Bureau and issued a formal complaint. Beware!! Stay Away (Far Away) from these shysters.
really!?? wow!! – wow this nis my first payment to this insurance company. to be honest its late and it expires tonite. my husband worked all day, he didnt get home till 9 pm. i had forgotten to make sure he left the payment. i called their customer service to pay it over the phone and what do you know......they're closed!!! so i go online, this day and age EVERY company lets you pay online. well what do you know you CANT DO THAT EITHER!!!! so know its about to get cancelled and i have to wait til monday, and another down payment, to get insurance again! they suck!!!!

Just awful – I had this insurance company for about six month and every month my bill went higher and higher. So I called the company and they gave me excuse after excuse. My bill started at 225 and went to 298 wtf.. I called an cancel my policy because I had switch to wells fargo insurance company(cheaper). Not to mention being on hold for twenty minutes and then speaking with one of the rudest rep. Please to anyone who is looking for insurance when you see assurance america RUN! And for the people that is having issue with the adjustor, when you call the claims department they are only open between certain hours. WTF. This company is only about money.
Nightmare insurance company – How this insurance company is still in business beats me...I'm reading all these reviews and it sounds like everyone is having similar problems with the insurance company. I was just rear-ended by someone with Assurance America Insurance and as soon as I saw the name and I had never heard of it I knew I was probably in for a rough ride...It has been 3 days that I have been calling and calling and calling the adjustor they set me up with. I finally talked to him today and he said they have to do an investigation and have not even talked to the man that hit me, yet. I don't know what there is to investigate, since he has the tickets from the police and hit me from behind, but whatever...the point is that they have a bunch of people working for them that should probably be riding the short bus to work and are horrible as far as customer service goes. I had to go through my own insurance (GEICO) to get the ball rolling and to get a rental car because Assurance told me "Oh well we're probably gonna be a week or so before we can do anything to help you". They are a bunch of idiots if you ask me.
Assurance = caveman killing a gecko and goose, bloody mess!! – In an accident where the police found the other driver at faultand the y said it was 90% (?) my fault and wouldnt pay $118 repair!!! I have never seen an insurance company act in such a condescending, uncaring manner. Stick with a name brand, avoid this company!
Assurance America Insurance--SCAM – After my new truck was hit by an ASSurance America customer, they tried to force the body shop to install only used replacement parts, telling them they don't pay for new parts. Then they refused to pay a fair amount for depreciation on the truck which amounted to $2500. You're lucky if you can get a return call and if you do they are rude. The accident happened in May 2010 and it's December now and still no resolution to the depreciation issue, even after I presented all the documentation they asked for concerning proof of the depreciation amount. They had me jump through hoops knowing it wasn't going to change anything. They will pay only $950 on the $2500 loss on my truck. Ripoff company. I wish this review had a rating option of "Deplorable"!
forever on hold – I'm trying to get information on having my car fixed due to an accident caused by one there insured. I hope I get answers soon.
Sorry Insurance Company – My car has been fixed since last Wednesday (Nov 11,2009) but I cant get my car out until they review the supplement report that was sent to them on Thursday. The extra charges are about 1250.00. My car has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks now because this insurance company lack the ability to communicate. They do not return phone calls when they say they are. Also I had to foot my rental car upfront but thank the lord I did received the refund back. I hope I don't get hit by one of their drivers again. Wouldn't know how long before I would get my car back.
