Nice Upscale Bar – My husband and I have eaten at Dantanna's on several occasions. The food has always tasted fresh and delicous, with one exception the bread. We didn't care for the bread. As for the desserts, they still have the Jack Daniels cake on their menu which isn't served anymore according to one of the waiters. However, the banana dessert is very good.
Good Food but nothing special about it – We dined at Dantanna's recently. Their food was pretty good. Fish was very fresh and nicely cooked. I did not enjoy the whole sports bar scene (I did not know that before I went there) but everything was good, just not amazing. I would not go back there again though it was nice trying.
great late night – I recommend going to Dantanna's for a late night drink at the bar, or even a late night dinner. The place does not close too late, probably a little before midnight so try to beat the rush of kitchen closing. You can sit near or away from the bar. The service was good when I was there, I was also able to enjoy the Olympics from where I was sitting. The menu is like the usual bar food with some other selections. The fish of the day is always something new and different.
Best Sports Bar – Dantanna's is the best sport's bar in the city. It is upscale and the food is gourmet, quite an improvement from the standard sports bar.
Best late night! – I love going to Dantanna's when it's late at night....they have the best burger EVER!!! I really like that they serve some really good wines (like Tapestry for $15/glass - that's a steal). It's the best place to be if you want to go somewhere to chill late at night....it can get crowded and they run out of seats at the bar,....but if you go when it's not ver busy it's a great experience....high end sports bar. The staff is very friendly and after a while, they become sort of....your late night friends! I love it!
Steak to DIE for, noisy on big game night – Our visit was on a Saturday night around 9pm. My mom is a steak expert. If you hand her a steak that isn't the cut she asked for she knows it. If the temperature is just past medium she knows that too. That said she seldom (never) gets a steak that she loves and an edible one usually takes at least 2 tries. Dantanna's managed to serve my mom a PERFECT steak. Juicy, hot, flavorful, sizeable. My mom enjoyed every bite and has decided to keep coming back despite the drive from Conyers. I also loved my steak and some really tasty mashed sweet potatoes. The girl at the desk was a little snotty but if you are persistent you can put your name on the list ahead of your arrival so you don't have to wait as long. They take your cell phone number and call you when the table is ready. If you are there when they call you are good to go. The crowd has a trendy feel to it but none of my party would be considered trendy and we still enjoyed ourselves. Also don't be scared away by it being a sports bar. Think of Dantanna's as a high class restaurant with TVs.
They care about your comfort. – I sit at the bar and work using their free wireless internet. The bartenders are friendly and professional. Although non smoking inside, you can step out on into a covered heated/airconditioned patio to partake (New Yorkers would travel far for this amenity). They have an enclosed cigar club section in the back with a huge selection of premium cigars. The audio visual system is very professional, bright, crisp, not green and weak like most other bars. Music is not loud and relates to the low key patrons. The pricing is moderate; nothing good comes cheap. The food is very good. I highly recommend this joint to relax and have a drink. It's very sophisticated. I write this as I sit at the bar. Cheers!
Just a great Steak – I have to say this is one of the best filets I have had in months. Cooked to the perfect temperature and just great flavor. I recommend you try it.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! IHAD THE STEAK, MY HUSBAND HAD THE GRILLED TUNA W/WASABI SAUCE BOTH WERE EXCELLENT! – GREAT SERVICE, VERY CROWDED THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME(FRIDAY) JUST WENT TO THE BAR AREA AND GOT A TABLE RIGHT AWAY.. AWESOME!
The sports bar concept is reinvented in upscale digs in Buckhead. – In Short
The interior--dark-wood paneling, leather seats and a black granite bar--is dressier than the average sports bar. The scene stealers are the futuristic-looking TVs, featuring translucent screens that can be viewed from either side. The New American menu focuses on seafood and steak: chilled Maine lobster salad, daily catches, filet mignon and rib eye. The options are plentiful, including a late-night menu, so stop by to catch a game or stay for the whole meal.
