“No Mixed drinked served, had to chase down the waitress for drink orders, could not incorporate spice into the meal, horrible sweet tea.”
“Our waiter was winningly helpful with his suggestions for sauce combinations and custom.”
“It's a great place to take your date, and you will definately fall in love with the food!”
“The waiter was a little rough around the edges but very polite, made an excellent wine recommendation, and carefully showed us how to use our sauces with each plate.”
“The beef carpaccio was good, but overpriced for the size of the portion.”
“The server wasn't helpful and it took a very long time to take our orders.”
Not impressed. Average food. Less than average service even though there were only 4 other tables occupied the night we went. My food came out 15 minutes after my friends. Too many other good places to go in Atlanta . Won't be back.
Disappointing, disappointing, disappointing.
I'm trying to think of something good to say about this over-rated restaurant. Okay, here it is: the waitresses are very pretty and pleasant.
But the food? Try sticky-sweet Chicken in a Clay P-t (I'm not allowed to use the word in this review), or tasteless, cottony chunks of Shaking Tuna (the only thing shaking was my head). The green mango salad featured lots and lots of defrosted watery shrimp...also tasteless. The beef carpaccio was good, but overpriced for the size of the portion...my partner was reduced to chewing on the pretty slices of lime that out-numbered the beef slices.
And the service, as noted in other reviews, was pleasant but poor.
great food but poor service. I luv everything I tried, but the service was horrible. It took forever to be seated without a reservation and to order and to recieve our food..But after I tried there food, I was ok..
Unique food, beautiful waitresses. I felt like I was in Viet Nam. The waitresses, all dressed in pink treat you like royalty. The sea bass wrapped in a bannana leaf is outstanding.
Wonderful. The lemongrass tofu/chicken are absolutely wonderful. The chef blends together a wonderful melody of spices.
decent but over priced. Decent food... but why go here when there is an abundance of great food and more authenticity on buford highway.
Great food but NO TAKE OUT!!!. I love this restaurant, but I call there the other day to order about $150 worth of food for my office and they say they don't do take out orders? How lame is that? If you're open for lunch, then you should be open to good business.
Steak or Tuna, can't go wrong with either. Try the Shaking Filet Mignon or the Shaking Tuna. So good. The filet is served with a combination of lime juice and spices that is delicious to dip the tender steak into.
beautiful restaurant with great food. this is the higher end chain of sister restaurant Tamarind.. same owner, same class, same great service, just a wider, bigger and somewhat fancier setting...when Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh have their own tables here, it's got to be pretty good...
Great Vietnamese food. I don't typically enjoy Vietnamese food. However, Nam is a rare exception. The food is simply delicious. The filet mignon is tender. The lemongrass chicken provides a combination of sweet and spicy for a tantalizing flavor. The decor is simple, stylish, and appealing. The uniformed staff only adds to the dining experience. Everyone I have either taken or told about Nam have all been pleased.
