Pretty Bad Experience Here..... As a single woman, I definitely feel guarded when I go to places like this. 9 out of 10 times, it is unwarranted - people are honest. This was the 1 where they were indeed out for a buck rather than the wellbeing and safety of the customer in driving their vehicle. Unfortunately it was to the tune of thousands of dollars. I have a 9 year-old car so I DEFinitely understand that I needed to spend $2-3k on a new transmission. What I do NOT understand is why they tried to get me to spend that same amount AGAIN when that transmission completely failed 1.5 months after the warranty ended (so 13.5 months after they did the work)! Likely because the work they did the first time was second-rate at best, the parts were used - and so the engine failed. Period. I'm sure they know how to rig it so the work they do lasts just about as long as it needs to in order to make it out of the warranty period. Sorry to rant, but seriously, what ever happened to quality work product? Going to work and being proud of what you had done and how you treated people? I am not buying all of the glowing reviews for this Aamco. (P.S. My car still shifts really hard and shutters so after weeks of dealing with this, thousands of dollars in repairs, plus their lack of concern for timeliness and thus my need for constant headache of rental cars, etc….the problem still isn’t fixed. Sigh….you almost have to laugh….)
