RUDE STAFF

The staff in there is HORRIBLE! they are SOOOOOO rude... like they work in PLATOS CLOSET!! And they're so snotty for what reason?? remind me again? especially the girl with the badly dyed pink hair....... she might just be the most rude out of all of them. Or maybe the fat blonde girl- it's a tie I guess! Get over yourselves!!
- Pros: none
- Cons: gross, rude staff
Beware FAKE JEANS. Otherwise great!

I am a designer jean-aholic. I search and search for them everywhere I go. My main interest is Rock & Republic. As far as Plato's Closet is concerned, I do not know if they just don't educate their staff or what, but they sell a LOT of fakes.
Do not even THINK about buying designer denim there unless you know what to look for. I went to 5 DIFFERENT Plato's today and found found that only 3 pairs out of the probably 20 Rock & Republics I found were real. I bought all 3 pairs.
If you know how to differentiate real vs/ fake then this is a GREAT place to shop, but as an average consumer, use caution, and better safe than sorry. Just take your denim business elsewhere.
They have great deals and I didn't pay more than $40 for any one pair of real jeans, their shirts and jackets are all GREAT deals.
- Pros: GREAT buys
- Cons: Beware FAKE designer goods
Doesn't Buy A Thing

I used to love Plato's Closet, but they have gone downhill. I have taken in designer items (well, their version of designer tends to be Abercrombie, American Eagle, etc... aka not my version of designer!) in that had been worn once or twice, no problems no stains no tears. Either they won't buy the item. Or they will want to give you $1 for the shirt you paid $50 for. I don't think so. Plus they are SO rude and snotty, like they have room to act that way. They work in a consignment store for goodness sake!
- Pros: if you are looking for an outfit for a sorority party (white trash for example) this is a good place to look
- Cons: customer service, their buying policy, the clothes they sell
