Great place to unwind!. If you had a long and tiring week, one of the best ways to end it is to unwind at Olive's Waterside. You can tell that the foods they serve are made from fresh ingredients. The tasty foods complement the ambience and the very friendly attendants. The overall experience is excellent! A must-try for all the people wanting to relax.

Great for After Work Happy Hour. My company treated the sales team to a fun "Happy Hour" for a job well done. We had a great time. We sat at a high table in the bar. The way they are set up, we could all see and talk to each other. We were a party of 14. The wait staff took very good care of us. We had drinks and appetizers. I liked the chicken wings the best. The deck by the water makes a nice getaway spot. I am sure that we will go back next quarter.

Pretty Good Piano Bar. I went to Olives for the piano bar. I found out about Olives from a hostess at another restaurant that that I found on Google that stopped its dueling piano's show. We arrived at about 10:00 and got seated right away. All of the tables that were in the participation section were already researved by 3:00 pm. The show was entertaining. The audience participation was lacking due to the seating arrangement. All in all well worth the trip from Duluth. We did not eat but the menu looked expensive. The waitress that we had was very good.

Regulars must REALLY love this place.... Having been in the service industry, fine dining bartending in Alpharetta presently, for several years this place lacks a great deal. The only plus is the location on the river and the lodge feel inside. A large lists of overpriced well liquor martinis does not make it a "Martini Bar". My Grand Cosmo tasted like watered down Grand Marnier. No hostess @ 8:30 pm on the Friday night after Thangsgiving. She was busy talking to her friend at the bar. The bartender greated us and was rude when she responded to whether or not the duel pianos were playing that night. Actually had the audacity to respond negatively when I asked her why they weren't playing. I've had better pizza at a gas station.

Heard it was a good place to go. Maybe for those that like below average drinks that are over priced and ignorance waiting for you at the door, bar and most likely at the table if I were to sit at one...

Nice Ambience !. Olives has a nice atmosphere and a beautiful riverside view.... however, the drinks are fairly expensive and the food is average with a quality price tag.... It is a nice after work stop.

One of my favorites. We go to Olives at least once a month. There food is excellent and very large portions for the price. My husband gets the pork loin everytime and loves it. They have the best martinis around and the waiters always go above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of. If you are not too full after dinner I highly recommend the creme brulee it is wonderful. After 10 they have the dueling pianos which is alot of funt too watch.

Similar Review. Husband and I went for lunch on Valentine's Day. Hostess needed personality. She seemed to have plenty of it when talking to her coworkers but when we walked in, seemed a bit annoyed that she had to do her job. When we asked to sit by the window, moved us without a word, even after we graciously thanked her. The servers are awesome, the food is good - the Honey Chicken Sandwich may want a little more honey on it. Pizzas are great and martini's are phenomenal. Love the location and a nice change of pace from Rays on the River.

Your first impression---Extremely POOR hostess. Easy access, amble parking, nice atmosphere but when you walk in the door you are greeted with "name" and then the hostess walks away and you follow. She drops you off at a table and starts to leave- no words spoken! When we asked to be moved to the nearby unoccupied booth, she said we have reservations for that. I told her we had made our reservations 2 weeks in advance. She picked up the menus slapped them on the booth and walked away. Worse hostess experience we have ever had! Food was average. The server was good and the martini's excellent. If you are going- go for the BAR only!!!

not good, way to expensive. I started off with the shrimp appetizer for $10 and it came with 5 medium shrimp with this mango sauce, it wasn't that good (worth ~$5 at most). Shrimp was kind of burnt too. Then I had a steak for $22 and it was one of the worst steaks I've had, also had some weird tasting brown sauce on it. Poor service too, we had to flag down our waitress just to get refills and add to our order, we were neglected big time. Only thing good about the place is it's a nice cozy restaurant, other then that save your money.

Early Bird Duet worth a try. If you are looking for a place on a budget I would recommend going for the Early Bird Duet. For $30 you get appetizer (we had the mussels), 2 drinks, 2 entrees (Salmon was great, potatoes were plain) and dessert. It is plenty of food and the creme buella was the biggest portion I have ever seen.

I would not go back as the food is overpriced and very plain. Cigarette smoke was the first smell that greeted us at the front door and the waiters we not very friendly. For a cheap Sat night for 2-give it a try-once
