Salvadorian delights off Buford Highway..
In Short
Easily the Latin jewel of Buford highway, Rincon Latino dishes out authentic south-of-the-border concoctions out of a strip mall corner spot. The massive dining room awkwardly feels like if a school cafeteria was randomly plopped into an old bus station. The decor, however, is not why you came. Lightly flour-battered Salvadorian-style fried chicken is a must try for any Southern food fan while plates full of mega cheap maduros (gummy plantains) make a sweet, impressive accompaniment. Of the more authentic items, don’t miss nabbing a few papusas, thick quesadilla-like discs made with house-made tortillas, queso fresco, and choices of fillers. Gooey and fantastically cheap, they make a perfect, sharable starter. A cheap import or a Jarritos will help you wash the goodness down.
