“have been going to Empire for 3 months now & it is very good place.”
“The staff was not friendly at all and the teachers didn't supervise or seem to have a clue as to what they were doing either.”
Best Color and Highlights.
A few weeks ago i went to Empire in Dunwoody for my first time. A little worried about going to a school for color and highlights but im on a budget so i figured, why not?
I waited awhile but not long. My student stylist did a brief consultation on what I wanted. She was very sweet and seemed as if she knew what she was doing. After she finished w/ my color and partial highlights, it was amazing! I trusted her with that so I went ahead and got a haircut (trim) like she suggested after every color. The haircut was as good as the color. She said she was graduating the next week but im def following her wherever she goes!
thank you Melissa!!!
Good experience, but a little slow.. I went today for the first time and walked in. I got in a chair with a stylist within 5 minutes and she did a great job on my blow-out and flat iron. The price was $20, a third less than two other salons quoted me. She was a little slow- it took almost 2 hours-- but if you have the time, it's worth the wait.
very nice. I have been going to Empire for 3 months now & it is very good place. The lady who does my hair is excellent. The atmosphere can get a little busy & seem disruptive but it works out once everyone has been registered to get there hair done.
My Hair was ROYALY Messed Up. I went there to get my hair done thinking it would be ok since I had been to other beauty schools for a highlight and cut before and the work was excellent. I went in with light brown hair and asked for blonde highlights. I left with bleach blonde hair with a few random strands of my natural hair, spots all over, and orange lines as well. The staff was not friendly at all and the teachers didn't supervise or seem to have a clue as to what they were doing either. It was a waste of 5 hours of my time and a waste of 80 bucks of my money. If you don't want your hair damaged and really messed up go somewhere else. I recommend Aveda Hair Institute in Buckhead off of Piedmont Road near Lenox. They are great, cheaper and the quality of skills, products and service is 10 fold of what you will get here.
