“THe service is great, they get you i.”
Fall off the bone ribs!. I accidentally stumbled across Shane's and was not dissapointed. The ribs were to tender and tasty and fell right off the bones. Good smokey flavor. I highly recommend for the BBQ lover to try this good tasty food.
Get ready for an extremely full stomach!!!. My husband and I just left our house and started driving hoping to find a new B-B-Q place. Boy did we find a great one!! Shane's Rib Shack is a fun, friendly place to eat. The girls behind the counter were very polite and were genuinely interested in how we liked the food. We both had the shredded pork sandwich, that had enough meat on it to stretch three sandwiches out of the one! The sweet tea was refreshing and their signature sauce was some of the best I have ever tasted! The only bad thing about it was I couldn't put the sandwich down even though I was full!!! A little bit out of the way for us, but we will definately be back with friends!
Extra-spicy barbecue joint heats things up in McDonough..
The Scene
From the Tabasco sauce bottles lining the walls to the hot pepper-printed wallpaper, this wooden shack of a restaurant screams hot and spicy. McDonough families and students from the nearby high school wait in lines that often snake out the door and crowd picnic tables in the large heated porch. Orders are taken at the counter. In the dining room teenaged servers provide friendly table service--always willing to bring more sauce or refill an empty glass.
The Food
Almost everything at this proudly quirky restaurant is homemade, but it's the ribs, barbecue pork and the fiery Tobasco-cayenne pepper based sauce that draw the crowds. Pork ribs are meltingly soft and pre-cut--a plus, as eating utensils are plastic. The shredded barbecue pork sandwich is so big it requires a knife and fork to handle. Standout sides include zesty black beans and hearty Brunswick stew loaded with pork. The only disappointment: overwhelming carrot slaw that gushes with too much mayonnaise. Homemade brownies--the sole dessert--satisfy the sweet tooth.
