Berkeley Landing: In dangerous decline. I have lived at Berkeley Landing apartments for the past 7 1/2 years. Obviously having lived here this long I have mostly enjoyed calling this my home. Unfortunately I have witnessed the stark decline and degradation of my quality of life in the last year or so. The property has been, to a great extent, co-opted out as a drug rehab center. Multiple and entire apartment buildings on the property have been rented to a drug/alcohol rehab company. The residents of these buildings are allowed to run wild in the community, i.e. throwing trash and cigarettes on the grounds, gathering in large groups and being loud and loudly using profanity, and leaving their doors open and playing their televisions and stereos at high volumes. Two days ago one of the rehab residents approached me and asked if they could buy my Subway sandwich off me. I have communicated to the property management staff ad nauseum for months about this situation, but no significant steps have been undertaken to control and eradicate this behavior. In fact, the property management seems powerless, impotent and ultimately bothered to do anything about the situation. Sadly, as a result of the management's indifferent handling of these issues, I will be looking elsewhere for a home when my lease expires. Not recommended.

Century State Bridge with no sleep. I have been living here at Century Statebridge apartments for about a year now and day one I was approached by my Indian neighbors on the third floor, I was moving in on the 2nd floor, and they told me that both their kids had ADHD and knock on the ceiling if they are loud. A year later and holes in my ceiling and multiple conversation with them and the apartment manager the problem still goes on. They never go outside and they constantly run around int he apartment yelling and screaming. The apartment manager gave a talk to them and offered to have a sit-down with both sides but when I wanted it to it can never happen.

We had a dog that barked 24/7 for months and no did anything about it until I started asking the other neighbors if the noise bothered them and they all said hell yes so I mentioned it to the manager and something was done about it and I was told to try and fix the issue with the neighbors before coming to the management.

With that said my wife and I just cant stand the dog crap all over the grass, I have a dog also, the constant noise from upstairs so we decided to buy a house not wanting to live in this area but the wife has a good job. Neighbors moved in down stairs and now there is a constant door slamming problem from multiple "young boys" coming in and out of the apartment all day and night. I said something to son and let him know kindly that when the door slams the apartment shakes and he jus rolled his eyes. He slammed it extra hard one night at midnight so I decided to go and see his father like managent said and explained the issue and left it at that. Well I received a phone call from managment saying never do that again and that I was bothering them and I had no right to bother those people. The father went and complained that I asked him nicely to please quit slamming the door.?????? I got in trouble because I was trying to handle the problem without having to go to management. Managment told me on the phone that it was friends of theres. I have called the company that manages these idiots and believe it or not no one has called back to answer my question. I have been told things like; you've never lived in an apartment before, this is my third, there are concrete slabs between apartments, nope!, this is a dog community get over it.

Biggest mistake you can ever make!. The management team is very unproffesional, they lack the proper staff and all of their properties are dope houses and trap houses. Constant shoot outs, might as well get used to having roaches as friends and neighbors, eating you morning biscuit with you. I lived there for a month and roaches were everywhere, and the apartment looked like they got a bunch of immigrants from a gas station and gave them paint brushes and sheetrock. When I called their corporate office to complain, no body ever called me back and they were always eating lunch. Don't move into Keenland farms nor Brighton way- trust me you are too good for the properties First communities manage

Keenland Farms let me down. I have been living in Keenland Farms for 3yrs and they have done nothing but go up on my rent stateing that they won't adding in trash and extra for water. The dumpers are always full of trash and the water is never steady running it either slow or fast in the wrong area's of the apartment. The maintaince man Gerald is always flirting with everyone and it is just not corporate like I see him in and out of people apartments and uses maintaince storge rooms for people belonging that have been kicked out for resale on top of that he is always drunk. I am very disappointed with the outcome they are never on top of fixing stuff and Manager De is just rude she needs a attitude adjustment I am faithful with paying my rent on time and I can't understand how they deposit the rent checks the same day of the 3rd that is and not even tell you if you bring it in before 2pm they will deposit it is this place is just crazzy I would not recomend any one to move to this complex it is just so hood and there is killing and robbing in the area at all times and police live on the property and they won't even pay the police to security anymore it is just awful don't move here it is just like a horror movie the gates are always broken and trash all over the enviroment it is something scary I pray for any one who moves here you will be upset and management is awful no customer service and they won't communicate with you on any thing bugs rats and everything in and out of this joint

Unbelievably ridiculous. southernlakes apartments could be a good community if the management was knowledge about contract/rental agreements as well as keep up with the maintenance in the community. The ants are rapid and the carpets are awful. The cabinets are thrown together and the walls need sanding and painting. The high ceilings could use a spider web cleaning as well. In this day and time it is convient for those who work 9-5 jobs to be able to supply checks for the rent (at least until one is returned); they absolutely will not accept checks; which is quit unusual to me; however in the contract it states that they do and the stipulations is not appropriatly written. For example: " If monthly rent is paid to management on or before 5PM on the 3RD day of each month , resident(s) will received a monthly concession in the amount of ___$99.00___. any rental payments received after the 20th of the current month must be in certified funds and include next month's rent along with the total current balance due. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED- MONEY ORDERS AND/OR CASHIER'S CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY. On the first page it states that all rent can be paid by personal check, money order debut transfer etc....... if paid by the 3rd. My check was turned down and banks were closed. No one accepts a credit or debit card for money orders, therefore since it was a weekend of the 3rd, I was charged $174.00 extra, because I read my contract (according to them Incorrectly). I feel like they need to be audited.

Remove Faye Jones. Windridge Apartments: What a hell hole to live in. Nice try management for painting the outside while things are falling apart inside. A typical act of a lazy management. Manager Faye Jones, what a negative, spiteful, immature, just plain incompentent manager you are. And you wonder why pple always take their problems to your assistant? Faye Jones is not qualified even to run her own house. How in the world did she qualify for the job?

Century Crest management -downright scary. Whoever wrote the glowing reveiw for Century Crest must have been offered a free rent. Or maybe the manager wrote it himself. I wouldn't put it past him.

Here's the reality:

There are dumpsters overflowing with trash in the middle of the resident parking lot. Furniture, food, diapers, you name it. It's really nice right after a good rain. A lovely ooze flows down the parking lot onto your tires. Nice.

The so called improvements only brought in a rash of apartment break-ins and vandalism to the tennants' vehicles.

Definitely make sure you have renters insurance. Double the policy if you can.

The Labor board might want to check out this company...
