Now Smokefree and New $7 Lunch Menu...$3 Drink Specials Galore!!!!!!!!!. This place is now smokefree and under new management. Steady lunch crowd. New $7 lunch menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, gyro and soup/salad combos. I haven't been to the happy hour but they have a lot of drink specials starting at $3/mixed drink. Doesn't smell like smoke anymore. Fresh paint and cleaner looking. I go there everyday for lunch. Easy to walk to. Located on 17th and Peachtree.
Good food - Great Service. We had not intended on eating at this restaurant. I was taking my daughter to a concert at The Loft (about a block away) and we had planned on grabbing a sandwich at Subway. It was closed (at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon???). So we walked down to "My Friends Place". It was also closed. We thought we were going to have to settle on a muffin at Starbucks before our show then we noticed a family going into Madision Grill and thought we'd check it out. The menu was mainly salads and sandwiches. We shared a turkey club with a fruit cup and it was delicious. Service was very prompt and friendly. I'd definately eat at this place again.
Good for lunch; skip for dinner (bar not rated).
First off, avoid Madison Grill if you are sensitive to smoking. The restaurant seating is only separated from the bar by a half wall, so it is still noticeable.
Arrived at 6:00 pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. At the time, we were only one of three tables, so orders were also taken in timely fashion. This was the last of the prompt service. Food was very slow to arrive. While waiting for our food, several more tables were seated, but I don't recall seeing any additional waiters. This may explain why our glasses were empty for long periods of time. Although not prompt, the service was friendly.
If you don't want a sandwich/burger or noodles, because the rest of the menu is very short. The noodles were good, but a bit salty. Overall, I would give Madison Grill a moderate recommendation for lunch, but you should probably give it a pass for dinner.
Bland food....not fresh....overpriced..... Do not waste your time here. I had a vegetarian black bean burger, and the bread was dry (it was white plain bread that you find at cookouts - not high quality) and the black bean patty was tasteless......I have had MUCH better. The other people in my group didn't think much of the restaurant either. The food was waaaay too expensive for the quality. When we came no one was there....that should have been the first warning sign I suppose. I don't know if they've cleaned up their act since a few months ago, but I would not recommend dining here. Atlanta has so much more to offer...... However, service was very good...
