“We brought our beautiful Golden Retriever with long flowing light golden hair in for a simple bath (no trimming or cutting what so ever).”
Excellent. Think this place rocks. Winston - our pup loves it. Multiple dog rooms to accomodate any size dog. Excellent management.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Piedmont Bark!. I'm a single mom on the go and love the exceptional treatment they give my dog. In the midst of changing careers and going back to school I found I needed help with the care of my 3 year old pug. The answer......Piedmont Bark! Some days I am gone up to 14 hours and need someone to give the love and attention my dog deserves and I am just unable to at this point in my life. Piedmont bark knows my dogs behaviors and gives me updates on how she is doing. Also, my dog gets extremely excited when we get in the car to go there so I know she has a great time.
Fellow pet lovers I need help!. The rating is a little premature, but I'm hoping to leverage the power of the internet to find my dog, Disco. As a pet lover, I hope you will forgive the brief intrusion into your Citysearch browsing. For those of us who don't have children, our pets fill that void. It is only when they are missing, that you really truly understand how much you love them. Please visit discoinatlanta<dot>blogspot<dot>com. I now return you to your regularly scheduled browsing session.
Better Options Available. We used this facility for daycare and boarding extensively before discovering that it had been eclipsed. Yes, these are nice people and they will keep your dog for you. But the ratio of staff to dogs is quite low and the dogs are packed together in a very crowded area. You don't generally see the area where the dogs are kept, so you don't realize that they are often there with no staff in the area with them... the staff are at the desk, or grooming a dog, or doing other tasks besides actually supervising the dogs. Another problem is that the place is extremely noisy from the barking, which isn't the case everywhere, and which is a sign of crowding and stress. There are better options in Atlanta.
Piedmont Bark's Staff to Dog ratio is one staff member to 10-15 at anytime. All play areas are fully supervised by staff members at all times. Piedmont has one of the most experienced and well trained staffs of any doggie daycare in the city. Most employees have been with Piedmont Bark an average of 3-6 years.
Good Vibes. After two years of taking my miniature schnauzer to another doggie camp, I switched to Piedmont Bark. I switched because, among many other strange clues, my dog - who NEVER does this - peed on the floor out of fear when I left him at the other place. At Piedmont Bark, his behavior changed dramatically for the better! Even though he is still anxious about being left by me, after his 6 hour trial run, when we came back for boarding he actually recognized the girl that came to take him away and jumped up on her excitedly. The staff and the entire air about the place is highly professional - which leads me to believe that as is often the case in business, that professionalism will translate into how my dog is treated when I'm not around to supervise. My dog was happy to see me after 5 days at Piedmont Bark, however, he was not the anxious, Get Me the Heck Out of Here dog that he was when I retrieved him from the old doggie camp. I am very happy with my new choice for boarding my dog.
Doggie daycare, boarding and grooming with spacious indoor play areas and a full-service dog wash..
In Short
Pedigreed pooches put their best paw forward at this trendy Midtown spa in the jumping Amsterdam Walk shopping complex and across the tracks for Piedmont Park's dog park. Owners have created a pet and people-friendly enironment that keeps proud parents returning again and again, whether for overnight boarding, daycare services, grooming or tail-wagging pet parties. Boarding school pups receive TLC from the trained attendants and can frolic with similar sized and temperamental breeds in one of four indoor play areas. On nice days, pooches can enjoy some outdoor sun and fun. After a day of play, coddled canines can get their coats washed and styled. Doting doggie dads and moms can spring for special pet parties that include a canine cake, treats for two and four-legged guests and a glut of treats for pet parents and their party guests
The best doggie daycare and boarding place in Atlanta!. We have two dogs and frequently have a need for doggie daycare and boarding. Our dogs are always excited to visit Piemont Bark, and when we pick them up it seems like they don't want to go home. They have made several great "doggie" friends during their stays, and the staff is always very attentive and friendly. We've tried other places, but are convinced that Piedmont Bark is hands down the most convenient and professional facility in town.
Pretty good.. They have a great facility. They are very good about following specific instructions (ie: Our dog can only have the food and treats we bring, he can't be exposed to harsh cleaning agents and he has to be washed with our special medicated shampoo). Our dog used to get a bad upset stomach after going because they would only place him with small, yappy dogs at first and he's just too agressive and rowdy for small dogs. Finally they agreed to put him with large dogs despite the fact that he's a medium sized dog and he does much better now. The only bad thing is that he has to have a bath everytime we take him (regardless of how long he's been there) because he comes home smelling like urine, otherwise. Overall, the location is very convenient, I love that Taj-Ma-Hound is located there and the staff is very kind and attentive.
Reliable doggie day care. My German Shepherd plays at Piedmont Bark at least once a week. William, Jason, and Rodney are personable and accomodating, and my dog is always thrilled to see them. I can stay at work later with a clear conscience because I know that she is in good hands. The facility is large, fully air-conditioned, clean, sunny, and is designed to resemble a park (but indoors). They also provide boarding, grooming, and have self-serve doggie wash stations (no mess to clean up at home, and they provide the shampoo and towels). You can save money by purchasing a package of visits. Highly recommended
