Briarcliff Summit bed bug infestation – You know, I just finish speaking with Anisha at Fifth Street Management and Shantel at Briarcliff Summit and they both assured me that they are aware of the bed bug infestation at this residential location (Briarcliff Summit 1050 Ponce De Leon Ave Ne, Atlanta, GA 30306 ) for disabled persons. Twice a week, the garbage man is hauling off a dumpster full of bed bug infested furniture and all the property managers do is spray individual apartments as the residents complain. For years, they (the handicapped/disabled residents) have been putting up with substance abusing homeless people sleeping in their stairwell and laundry room, the drug trafficking and (a couple of years ago) a hate crime where a disabled gay man was brutally beaten to death and splatters of blood are still visible in the fourth floor hallway on the wall. Now, the bed bugs! We are in the process of creating laws to protect ILLEGAL immigrants. So why can't we protect our elderly and disabled population from being taken advantage of?
Watch your financials! – i wouldn't call them crooks, but watch your financial reports closely and monitor their variances. bills don't get paid on time, meaning when you pay them, your reserves take it in the end - if you still have reserves! extraordinarly sloppy in how they handle your books and in everything else they do. Hugely not recommended.
most of the propertis they manage are still under developer control, which means that they're held hostage by 5th street. I've heard that more than one wants to leave, but can't because they have no control over the association.
just awful. – my building used to have them. they were just awful, and ive heard there were problems with the books, paying bills on time, etc. i would not recommend them.
Not so good. – I lived in a residential building they managed, and they never could get my billing right. I didn't get bills, and then the amouts owed kept changing.
Not to mention that the physical condition of the building went to heck. And the property manager was completely ineffectual.
It's my impression that they're a commercial management company, and they're probably good at that. But for residental management, they were just awful, and I was happy when I moved, There are probably much better companies out there for condo management.
