Amazing Place to Go!!!!. I came to Peachtree Tavern this weekend for the first time after the SEC Championship game. They had live music from the Velcro Pygmies and I can say that I have never seen a show like that in my life. It was awesome! The cover was $10 which I was kind of hesitant to pay at first but it was worth it to see the band pay. The bartenders were fun and very quick every time I walked to the bar to get a drink. I definitely will be coming here again!

Rude Bartenders. My friends talk about this place frequently and go almost every Wednesday. I figured I would go check it out, but now I completely regret leaving my comfort zone. You pay $3 to get in and you get "free beer" inside. I lined up at the bar to get my first drink and the bartender ignored me about 3 times. A few different groups of people came up to the bar, got drinks and left. I was still waiting. He asked me twice if I needed a beer, but never returned with it. He held it out in front of me and just stared at me until I gave him a tip. Which I had already put $5 in the jar on the bar for him. I was forced to give him another $2 before he would hand me my beer. So, add it up so far: $3 to get in + $5 tip in jar + $2 additional tip = $10 for ONE beer so far. Keep in mind there is a HUGE sign at the door that says "FREE BEER $3 COVER" (which obviously is a lie if you end up at this guys bar) This continued to happen all night long with me being forced to give him $2 for EVERY beer which I would never do even if each beer was $4.50. I am a server myself and am very aware of how the serving industry works. After my third or fourth beer I asked him for change for a $20 and he only gave me $15 back. I asked him where my other $5 was and he replied "in my register, WHO NEEDS A DRINK?" At a "college bar" I am not going to ask for a manager or make a big deal of it at the time, but he said a few other personally hurtful comments to me throughout the night. It's obvious he is very full of himself and I guess I didn't seem interested enough in his faux hawk or ugly budding goatee. This bartender is rude, unprofessional and completely out of line with the comments he made. Every other bartender there was friendly and upbeat. I don't need someone to be super attentive especially if they are busy (I understand) but a little courtesy would be appreciated as would keeping your mouth shut about my appearance. I will give this place another chance, but I may decide to splash my cup of beer in his face if he is working again.

Sex, Jager, & Rock 'n' Roll. Been striking out at trendy, V.I.Look At Me clubs in Midtown? Well, put your Polo shirt and flip flops back on and give Buckhead the ol' college try again. Peachtree Tavern is a bare bones, bar stools and beer signs party bar. Caring less about aesthetics and more about the simplistic needs of today's youth--sex, Jägar, and rock n' roll. If the karaoke and Cruë cover bands aren't holding your evening's attention, simply walk 30 feet to the adjacent bars (Moon Dog's and Hole in the Wall) for even more talent rich square footage. And if you leave your "A" game at home, no worries. With the unpretentious crowd, your "C+" might have you rounding second with a former Auburn sorority girl by your second round of shots. Game on.

Not just a college bar.... Ahh, for those of you who don't know. Many of Atlanta pro atheletes attend this place. I have had a beer with Kari Lehtonen of the Thrashers and even Mike Hampton of the Braves. Chicks from the Real World usually stop by in the summer time. Just go to Peachtree Tavern or PTT and have some fun. Just make sure you take a cab home.

Editorial Review. Central Buckhead bar scores points with the younger crowd by showcasing cover bands, karaoke and live music.

Awful Service. The bartenders are awful!!!! Good music but terrible service. I think the people writing the good reviews probably work there.

GREAT BARTENDERS. I don't know what that last person was smoking! The bartenders have always been courteous and they are by far the fastest in Atlanta! It's also nice to have a little eye candy while you order your drinks. The music is always entertaining and there is a nice variety so you can hear something different every night you attend.

Terrible Bartenders. Peachtree Tavern is a good place but the one thing that brings it down so much are the bartenders. I've seen first hand how rude and unprofessional they are. It's a great place to go for live music but it's very unfortunate that they don't care about the service they provide to their customers. Customers should not be yelled at and treated poorly when they are simply trying to get a drink or close out a tab. It's a shame because it could really be a fun place to go if the staff wasn't so rude.

Really entertaining. I went to the peachtree tavern with one of my stripper friends one night and i had a lot of fun! The drinks are cheap I think...guys are really willing to pay and everyone is friendly and drunk. The band plays all night and the music is pretty good. A lot of people dance towrds the end and thats the best because everyone is hammered by then.
