Worst Service Ever. This place is a total scam. I bought a Mac laptop from them two months ago because Macs are not supposed to break. Well, it broke. It took them two weeks to get back to me. When they finally did, they let me know that it would be $350 to send it to the Apple Store through them to get it fixed. I just paid $750 to buy the thing. I could have bought a brand new Mac from Apple. The guy was totally unresponsive and did not care.
Rudest, most hostile store manager ever. I've had a successful repair done at Daystar in the past. They are technically competent. However, when they were unable to diagnose a problem and I decided not to proceed further on a machine, store manager Craig became hostile and threatening to my wife and son who went in to pick up the computer. These guys are probably OK so long as you do whatever they say and pay them what they ask. However, you if decide against having them repair your computer, get ready for a major attitude shift. A call to the owner was no help. There are better places to get your computer fixed.
Amazing Amazing Amazing. If you want a wonderful place to bring your computer and not only be treated with respect and honesty but also be confident that your computer will be treated that way as well then go to Daystar! They are a small company with a Big heart! I have brought my Mac and my PC to them and both have been fixed with in a few days! They also didnt' charge me an arm and a leg to do it! I'm not the best with technology but they always made me understand what was going on with the computers and never talked down to me. I'm so happy to have a place to bring my computer!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
Best Computer Place Around! Even on Weekends!!. To say anything bad about Daystar is like saying something bad about your best friend or the nice neibor next door. These people have helped me wiht my computer needs for mmm about 10 years now! I was with them when they were in Buford and I now use them at their store in Suwannee! I have always received the best customer service and care! All the staff is very noligable not only with Mac but with PC as well. When my hard drive went bad they quickly fixed it with in a day I had a new hard drive in my computer. When I dropped my laptop and needed a few things fixed they turned it around within 3 days and they cleaned it too!! It was like have a brand new computer again! I can't say enough good things! Reading these bad reviews makes me upset because I know there must be something wrong with the reviewer! I have never received anything but GREAT SERVICE!!! I LOVE DAYSTAR TECHNOLOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!
Brilliant and Helpful for Years!. We've been using Daystar to maintain our systems for years. They always find the best solutions for our issues and the best prices. I hear nightmares about viruses and down time from other companies... but we NEVER have any! The company easily handles remote support, and is the only company we could find that has experts in both Mac and PC.... Both Craig and Ben are the best!!!
WORSE Customer Service EVER. Perhaps the WORSE customer service I've ever received. These guys have NO people skills at all. The manager of the store, Craig Washington, physically threatened me and dropped the "F" bomb on me several times this morning when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service. One of their techs, Ben, told me "I don't care" when I tried to express my dissatisfaction. Needless to say the conversation escalated from there. He then proceeded to perform an unauthorized repair on my 17" powerbook pro he called "COMPLETELY TABOO" and something "we are not suppose to do". I wouldn't recommend DayStar Technologies even if someone put a gun to my head.
Dishonest ways of doing business, poor people skills.
After the screen cracked on my macbook, we were referred Daystar by the Apple store. We went to the store immediately that Saturday and noticed that they had a refurbished Mac newer and in better condition than my own. Craig made us an offer for a trade-in for $500. We told him we would think about it and come back even though we knew this was a great deal. Monday we went back and he wasn't there, so I called Tuesday before I went in to make sure that he was there to take him up on his offer.
He told me over the phone that someone else had made a $900 offer on the $800 macbook (who does that?) and he upped the offer from $500 to $600. Going back on your word is not something honest, good business people do.
The apathetic, impersonal attitude we received from the employees while in the store and over the phone also contribute to this poor review.
Con artists. They worked on my computer without my consent, I went in for a diagnostic test of my computer and instead I ended up with a 400 dollar bill for a repair I didn't ask for. Not only that, in the process of "fixing" my computer they damaged my DVD player which worked perfectly fine before it went in -they refused to fix it or look at it. They took no responsibility. those whom are giving them perfect score are probably working for the company and faking the ratings scores online.
