Blue Moon Pizza

A little about us! First of all, you'll be happy to know Blue Moon is not fast casual. We're a real restaurant with a full bar, with real servers and bartenders who know how to take care of you. When we left our corporate restaurant jobs, we just wanted to create the kind of place we felt was missing in this Smyrna, Vinings, East Cobb area. A down-to-earth hangout with exceptional food you can afford.

Here at the Moon we make a phenomenal thin crispy crust pie that rivals any in Atlanta. In fact, we bring our passion and creativity to our entire menu. Most important, we go out of our way to make Blue Moon an everyday escape where you can relax, treat yourself a little, and feel good about the human race. Stop into the Moon and find out why we have been consistently voted Best Pizza in Atlanta since 2004, and how we make life less ordinary.

The Scene
Blue is the color of delicious in this North Metro pizza palace that draws a mix of couples, families, business cohorts and solo diners. The open dining room features a wash of blue walls, industrial-metal light fixtures, a throng of tables and a large bar that groans under the weight of draft and bottled beers and liquors. Welcoming servers navigate through the crowds from the open kitchen to serve an array of pizza pies and pitchers.

The Food
For pie-o-philes, the hand-tossed, thin-crust specialty menu runs the gamut, from traditional to spicy fare, like the bacon cheeseburger, Thai or Santa Fe pizzas. More adventurous diners can build their perfect platter from a menu of dozens of toppings. Generous portions, fresh toppings and the proprietor's own sauce blend--never too thick and slightly sweet--meld perfectly on the plate. Appetizers and homemade desserts round out the menu.

I must be one of the few that doesn't particularly care for this place. The pizza was okay, but I have gotten away from the starchy white flour pizza and have been eating whole wheat pizza for years now. Ca Pizza Kitchen and Brixx, to name two, have that now. The place is okay, but very loud. Just disappointed they didn't have the option of whole wheat dough. PIzza with white flour is so bland and for me it's unhealthy, along with the pork products. I didn't see any pork substitutes.

Blue Moon is a fantastic pizza joint! It is loud when crowed, but well worth it. Also, they have pizza dough for the kiddos, which is a plus, so very family friendly. We love going there!

This place has phenominal pizza, paninis and salads. The salads come ON TOP of pizza bread, instead of just a plate, which I think is really cool (as well as delicious!) They deliver, have decent specials, and taste SO much better than Dominos or Pappa Johns. If you plan on eating in-house beware it gets super busy around lunchtime, so try and go a little early, or a little late, but I have never been dissappointed with anything I've ever ordered at blue moon. I also love that there is a cool, low-key, GOOD restaurant like this located OTP, so I get to save my gas money, and buy an extra round of beers!
