Poor service, Does not care about patients

This practice was not willing to go above and beyond to help me out when I was in a bind needing 1 replacement contact because it was damaged. Instead the office manager just told me what I should have been doing and that I should have had a backup pair or backup glasses. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and would highly discourage anyone. DO NOT GO TO BRIDGEMILL EYECARE.

A positive experience

Today I had my firt visit to Bridgemill Eye Care and was very pleased with the whole experience. My optometrist was very friendly and professional as was the staff. I received my prescription with no hassle nor was I hounded to purchase eyeglasses from them. I read these reviews before I went today and presented this information after I had received services and found out that some of the staff had been replaced. If you had a bad experience with this company before, give it another shot- I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of service and atmosphere.

Not your usual or friendly eyecare facility

The bottom line is the eye exam was thorough, they did not disclose that they were charging our medical insurance nor that this was anything more than a standard eye exam, and sent us away with no Rx for glasses which I know that I need. I am not blind by any means but need glasses for an astigmatism, which causes my headaches. The secretary was also very unfriendly and we felt very uncomfortable in the waiting room.

My wife and I decided to use a local non chain facility for our yearly checkup. This eyecare provider was listed by our vision service plan as participating so I called to make an appointment. They informed me of the benefits of our service plan so I made the appointment. We filled out questionares about our health history, a fairly standard thing these days, and started our eye exams. The exams were very thorough, not the usual look at the eye chart and here is your prescription. I commented to the Dr that I was impressed at the thoroughness, not what you get at most chain eye care.

As I left the exam and went to check out at the desk the secretary informs me that the charge was three times what we had discussed on the phone when I made the appointments, the reason was because they were submitting it to my medical insurer and not the vision plan. Her explanation was because I had marked on the health history that I have had headaches, the Dr did more tests based on the information I provided. I then asked if I could have the prescriptions and was told the Dr did not think they were needed because the Rx's were not very strong. At this point I am pretty upset and decided to leave and speak with my wife to see what she had discussed with this office.

On the plus side they have lots of designer glasses which I wanted to purchase, however I will try another eyecare Dr, hopefully with better results.
