Editorial Review for The Fickle Manor – by Aubrey Sabala
The Scene
Named after the owner's dog, Manor, who is notorious for being fickle, this women's clothing boutique manages to fit a bevy of goods into a tight space without being cramped. The store's fashion-conscious collection is a mix of popular brands, such as Blue Cult, Red Engine Jeans and Poleci, and lesser-known, more affordable designers.
The Goods
Suiting a range of occasions, it stocks casual dresses, tight-fitting T-shirts and trendy pajamas. Locally made artwork and jewelry give women another reason to swing into this shopping center bordering the Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods.

Fickle Manor is absolutely the most fabulous boutique in Virginia Highland. JJ Tomlinson, the blond beauty owner, is a customer service diva. Her lines are well thought out and fun. You cannot beat the chic dress selection for the holiday and summer seasons! This hidden GEM is a must for your shopping extravaganza.
Pros: Fun ambience with no pressure sales staff.. great lines!

I stopped in The Fickle Manor the other day to buy something for my sister...Being greeted by the dog as I walked through, Manor, was her name, let me know right away it was not one of those uptight stores you go into. I do not know anything about womens clothing and apparel, so it was nice to find the owner very knowledgable of the different artists and designers displayed throughout the store and willing to explain the subtleties of each. There were a lot of customers in the store while I was there and she took the time to speak to everyone and answer any questions they had. I remember one lady in particular being louder and more demanding than everyone else and the owner could not have been more courteous to her. It was nice to finally see someone who genuinely cares about their customers individual needs. So I would highly recommend everyone stopping by The Fickle Manor and see for yourselfwhat a great store it is...If youre lucky you might even get to meet Manor.
